I have been volunteering at the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter for about three years, spending most of my volunteer time walking dogs. I have had dogs all my life and have trained them myself. I have watched and walked friends' dogs in the past. I believe all dogs are good, some just need more training and love than others. I began volunteering at the shelter when my dog Karma passed away when she was sixteen. It started out as a way to deal with my grief, but I began to enjoy it more and more and realized that I had a natural ability with animals of every kind. I promise to take the same care and attention with your dog as I always have with my own pets.
