Hello there! I am a 25 year old graduate of Loyola U Chicago and I love pet sitting and walking dogs. I have had a strong love for animals since I was a child which has translated into a professional career as a pet sitter. I have extensive experience in a variety of ways - I worked at an animal shelter for over 2 years as the lead care crew staff and worked as a dog bather at The Grateful Dog of Rogers Park. I also have five cats of my own whom I am the primary caretaker of. I would ideally like to take on a large amount of reoccurring walks/sittings as I build strong relationships with clients and their pets. I am available every weekday encompassing early mornings, evenings, and nights, Saturday evenings and nights, and all day Sunday.

Christopher is amazing with animals. He is gentle and patient with them. He has been working with me for years, and I trust him with not only my pets but my children as well. He is also reliable in terms of arriving prepared and on time. He has three cats of his own that he rescued when they were kittens with no where to go. Truly a great guy!

I start by creating a safe and enriching environment for the animals I’m caring for whether that’s in my own or the client’s. I have a skill of reading an animal’s FAS score to assess how I should approach them and care for them. I make sure to provide the care detailed by the owner down to every detail and then spend any extra time playing and enjoying one another’s company. Ultimately, the animals comfort is the most important while their owner is away and I’m confident I can provide that.

A typical day
For dogs, I typically look up the best walking routes and parks in the area to ensure the animal receives adequate outdoor enrichment and activity. I make sure owners have their toys in an accessible place in the home to play indoors as well.

Availability
I currently work part time at a library 5 days a week midday which allows me time in the mornings, evenings, and night to do overnight stays or check in on your animal. My schedule is flexible to allow me the time to care for your pets in whatever way they need!
