Pet care experience
2023 update New dog, new city. After my last chihuahua passed of old age in 2020 i took a break from pet sitting I decided to get another one. Rafiki is now my main priority and we are looking to make some other small dog friends around the city. I am looking to start a dog walking/sitting business and want to build my experience. I enjoy being outside with my dogs, so why not increase that with walking other dogs! I have had my oldest dog for over 15 years now and he runs the house. My 15 year old is a Chihuahua, and my 4 year old is a Staffordshire Terrier mix so I have experience with both small and large dogs. There is nothing like the love of a dog and I want to recreate that in my career. My goal is to provide excellent service and have fun doing it with all the fur babies out there. I hope you will consider me when deciding who to trust with your 4 legged family members.

Hands down, Chris is the best dog walker in Alexandria and I’ve used many different walkers before finding Chris. He is a highly effective communicator, and most importantly, he will care for your dog as you would care for your dog. I would give him many more stars if I could! Chris has been great for us and our dog, Jan. He is an absolute professional when communicating with us, has always been prompt in our appointments, and his daily updates after his walk with our pup have been great and a wonderful recap to look at when we are missing our girl during the day. He details everything they did for the day, and gives us peace of mind when we are away from her. I cannot recommend Chris enough - he is great!
Chris was absolutely amazing! Bowser normally gets anxious if i'm gone for a few days but Chris made sure to make Bowser feel comfortable. He kept me updated on their time together so I got to see to see how happy and easy my pup was. Chris exceeded my expectations and I will definitely be prioritizing him for future sittings.
Chris is one of the most organized, conscientious, and caring people I know who has a genuine love for every dog he meets. He has watched my pup a number of times when I have a meeting or event after work, and I don’t want to leave him home alone for a few hours. Chris loves my dog like he was his own, and that gives me comfort as I am very selective of the people I leave my dog with, even if it’s only for a short time. Chris will send me pictures of my pup and always gives me a full report of how he did while I was away. Although my dog has separation anxiety, he is super happy and comfortable when he gets to spend time with Chris!

A typical day
Typically we start our mornings with cuddles before our morning outing. This can either be a walk around the neighborhood or spending time in the backyard exploring.

Work full time remotely at home. I have a fenced in yard for dogs to play in and ensure safety/security is a top priority in our home. I spent all of my time with my dog throughout the work day.
