I have volunteered at quite a number of animal shelters. My most recent services have been at the Humane Society of Westchester and the Mount Vernon Animal Shelter. I have learned quite a bit from many and I have learned to take in the joys and patience and love that a dog can truly bring. A dog to me is like my best friend. There really is a connection and having that ability to be together is so beautiful. I have cared for, cherished, and loved each dog for their own self.
