Happy pet, happy owner :-)

Pet care experience

I have babysat and fostered many dogs and cats in my home over the years. I socialized some of the cat fosters (feral) so that can find their forever home. For several years, I volunteered for a non-profit greyhound rescue, from where I adopted two beautiful greyhounds. Aside from walking/feeding them, I helped pick up new dogs in the US to bring them back here and prepare them for adoption. I also gave talks, held booths at various shows to promote the rescue of racing greyhounds. I also volunteered at the SPCA Annex where I bathed, walked and socialized dogs (mostly from seizures due to hoarding or other unsanitary situations). I've had pets since I was a little girl and have always enjoyed being in their company :-)

Christine gave Clover time and attention to understand his behaviors during their walk and when chatting with us. We'll be happy to ask her to drop in on Clover again!

Christine was a great choice for taking care of my two boys. She took great care of them and although we were on different time zones we manage to communicate very well (since the meet and greet actually) and I felt completely relaxed and carefree knowing that my cats were very well taken care of. She is a trustworthy, mature and resposible person and I recommend her services. I am a repeat client for sure. Thank you, Christine!

I have known Christine for over 30 years and she is the most loving pet caregiver I know. For years she volunteered for Greyhound Rescue and the Animal Association of LaSalle, the Montreal borough she lived in. She also adopted two greyhounds, Kaleigh and Spencer. She loved those dogs like they were her children. They were showered with attention, long walks, cuddly coats, blankets and the best dog food ever. More recently, Christine adopted a lovely adult cat - Emma. Emma now reigns as queen of the house. I highly recommend Christine - she is conscientious, communicative and caring.

Hello, I have known Christine for over 20 years and she has always been an animal lover. When I first met her she was the proud mama of two beautiful Greyhound dogs and now she is mama to her cat Emma. Christine has volunteered her time to the Greyhound mission and YMCA. She shares her love of animals in her daily life always stopping to admire and say hello to pets walking by during her day. Any animal would be happy to have a person like Christine to provide them care.

Safety, trust & environment

When walking your dog, I will always keep them on a leash unless he is allowed to run free in a dog park. This will be determined with you beforehand of course. Same thing goes for treats/food as I respect whatever specific diet your dog is on, if any. I will apply same for drop-ins when it comes to food/treats and will respect whatever your environment and "house rules" are, if any, with your pet(s). If it is your cat that requires a drop-in visit, I will make sure to spend time playing and interacting with him/her :-) I will make sure to keep you updated, send you pictures when I walk your dog or do a drop-in visit :-) Your dog's/cat's well being and safety is #1 priority for me! And if your dog or cat enjoys cuddles and kisses, they will not go without, I can assure you of that ;-)

Information Christine Z. would like to know about your pet

It is important for me to know what level of exercise your dog can handle. I would also need to know if they have any (food or other) restrictions due to illness, age or other factors. Is your dog friendly with children, other animals? Or is it better to walk in less frequented areas? Anything you can tell me that you deem necessary to make this experience more enjoyable for your furry friend and I would be greatly appreciated.

A typical day

I enjoy walking and hiking and I miss taking daily dogs walks. If your dog likes to play ball, enjoys a good walk or do other activities, I would be happy to have fun with them so that they can come home happy, ready for a meal, cuddles and a comfy nap :-) I will adapt to the rhythm of the dog, ex: more active, less active. And of course, they won't go home without getting some hugs and kisses....as long as they love that of course ☺️
