Rise & Shine for early morning walk

Pet care experience

I have lived throughout the United States, but Madison is my favorite place to live so far. I love the people, especially the 'animal people'. I have always felt a connection with animals, especially dogs. I also am trustworthy and can house-sit for extended periods of time. I believe we are all put on this planet to help each other out, one step at a time. And, we have a lot to learn from the animals around us, both wild and domestic.

Christine was fantastic. She was quick on the uptake, understanding the dog's needs and structure as well as the details required when sitting is someone else's home. She was patient yet firm with this year-old very active pup. She took her to the dog park and long daily walks, sending me updates with pictures to keep me informed. The house was in great shape upon my return. I highly recommend her!

Christine was very attentive to my dog, Cinnamon, and sent us numerous updates. Cinnamon was very happy there, and got plenty of love and attention.

Christine was wonderful with our dog Lucy! She and her family took excellent care of her while we were gone. We were constantly updated and sent pictures. Would absolutely leave Lucy in Christines care again in the future!

Christine was very kind with my dogs when they stayed with her for Memorial Day weekend. I love how she kept me updated and sent pics right away. She took walks with them in the beautiful trails of Middleton and they appeared to be very happy. I will definitely use her services again.

Safety, trust & environment

I have never felt comfortable with leaving a dog alone more than 3 hours. I thoroughly read through care Instructions before accepting a booking. I care for pets that have medications and strict schedules and others who require time to run and play at the dog park, depending on the family's care Instructions.

Information Christine S. would like to know about your pet

I was lucky enough to grow up with dogs and cats in my home. I used to own a Pomeranian myself, and I help often with family members' dogs. I have no breed preferences, and I can handle large or small animals. I have been told, however, that I have a gift with older dogs.

A typical day

I love taking long walks and getting fresh air. I also enjoy tossing a ball or toy to play fetch. . It's silly but I speak to animals, just like I speak to my plants, with love and recognition of their worth as living sentient creatures.

For me, pet care and house watching at the owner's home is a privilege. I like to leave the kitchen bath and living areas cleaner than I found them (an old Girl Scout thing, I think). I do have a "pet comes first" outlook when it comes to the health and safety of your pet. I send many pictures and updates.
