Pet care experience
Our family lives in Destin with our 2 dogs, Walter and Quinn. I work remotely, so I'm always home, with few exceptions. We've been doing this for a couple years now here in Destin and have a healthy base of locals, as well as plenty of visitors from all over. Puppies to Seniors, 5 pounds to 100 pounds, we see them all. Our daughters have become experts in knowing how to care for our furry guests and are great helpers. Walter is a mild-mannered gentle giant, and he is excellent with all dogs. Quinn is tiny but is tough and likes to hang with the big dogs. We don't require meet-and-greets on our end, due to Walter and Quinn have never met a dog they couldn't get along with. Both are pretty submissive and easy going. But if you would like to come meet us beforehand, we are happy to oblige. You’ll receive updates/pictures/videos from me to let you know how things are going! Please be sure to take a look at the additional information to know what else to expect and what to bring.

Christine was absolutely wonderful and so nice! Our dogs felt right at home in her house, when normally they have a hard time being left without us. And she was very accommodating to us when we needed them to stay an extra day!
Christine and her family were wonderfull. Christine sent photos showing her youngest daughter taking care of my Lucy after I had first left, and a video showing Christine’s dog Walter playing with Lucy later that week I rate Chistine 5 stars.
Christine is so flexible, attentive and kind to the dogs in her care. Can't thank her and her family enough for accommodating us on a last minute basis. Really appreciative!! Thank you for the great care of the four-legged animals!!

*Requirements for our guests: -up to date vaccinations -MUST be spayed/neutered (if old enough) -current flea/tick prevention (if you are coming from out of state, please be advised: Frontline is NOT AT ALL effective in this area) We don't have breed restrictions, but we do require that our guests have a good temperament and no aggressive tendencies. Please bring their food, bowl, leash, bed/blanket if they have one, toys/treats you want them to have, medications, and anything else you think they would like to have while here. Please also fill in their profile with instructions or bring written instructions when you drop off. Unless requested by owner, we do NOT put dogs in crates/kennels while here--so unless they need it for some reason or will miss it if they are without it, don't worry about bringing it.
A typical day
Our backyard is fully fenced in with a 6ft wooden fence and locked at all times. There is a doggy door that dogs may use if they choose. We have found that those that do use it really enjoy the added freedom. Our guests have free roam of the house, including couches and beds, as well as however much outside time that they want. Our home is their home and we want them to be comfortable here. Please note that we book up quickly during the summer and for holidays. We cannot hold slots without a reservation in place.
