Pet care experience
I moved to Scotland four years ago from Norway where I ran my own company for dog training, dog walking and sitting. We are just waiting to get our own Golden Retriever puppy, Canela, and after it is save for her to meet other dogs and humans we will try to slowly introduce her and hopefully take her along on some dog walks! I have many years of experience with all kinds of dogs/breeds/sizes/characters. I will not be able to train your dog for you, this is always the dog owners job. We can of course discuss how YOU can train your dog. I‘d be happy to help :) I focus on ethical, positive training and the welfare of your dog is always highest priority. Looking forward to meeting your dogs!
Reviews
Christine is amazing and very good with dogs.
We had an incident-free house-sitting stay as we had an incident-free holiday! Our Great Dane Zeus seems to love Christine and he has been his usual happy self once we got back, and into his routines. Christine gave us a lot of good feedback while we were away and he seemed a bit upset the first night, but like most danes just loves to be around people and Christine genuinely likes dogs and they respond well to her. She is a clear and intelligent communicator and we prefer house-sitting to kenneling due to the size and nature of our dog. We would use Christine's services again.
Christine is great! Poppy our cocker spaniel puppy lives when Christine takes her out to play!
Christine loves dogs and takes excellent care of our old dog Happy. He has gotten to be a bit more of a challenge with age and Christine gets it and even has pointed out some things to us about him. She is also completely trustworthy. She has stayed in our house a few times now while we were out of town.

Once our own puppy has settled in we want to offer dog boarding at our house, we would only have one dog at a time and would have to make sure your dog and ours get along before accepting any booking. We live in a house with a fenced garden opposite a park.

Information Christine L. would like to know about your pet
Is your pet neutured? Is your pet friendly with other animals/children/people in general? Does your dog need special care (medication, special allergies, blind or deaf etc) Do you have pet insurance and which Vet do you use?
A typical day
My walks are slow and calm, I let your dog sniff as long as he/she wants to as it's important for them to explore and use their brains to get all the 'messages' from the different smells left by other animals! I also like to do treat searches in the garden or on a quiet lawn. Of course I will be happy to play, cuddle, brush/groom etc. I prefer to walk your dog on a well-fitting harness that allows unrestricted movement and is comfortable -as this is safer than on a collar- and a long lead (2-3 meters long, but preferably not a 'Flexi' lead) to give them freedom to sniff and walk at their own pace if possible. I will be happy to give advise about harnesses and leads if you would like more information.
