We are a family that LOVES animals! At this time, we have one cat. Don't worry though, if your dog is shy, we have enough space - and family members - to keep him or her separate and still be amongst humans. :-) Your cat will do fine as well. Our cat often likes to be alone (he needs his beauty sleep), so we set up a dog- and kid-free area downstairs complete with a fluffy pillow, toys, scratching pads, food, water and litter boxes. It is always accessible, as well as kids area upstairs that is a dog-free zone. My husband and I both grew up with pets, and have always had pets together. We treat them like family because, well, they are family. Our kids have the same love of animals that we do, even helping to care for orphaned squirrels. About this sitter: Sometimes it isn't in the pet's best interest to take it out of its home, especially if it is just a few days. For times like that, I can stay over at your house and take care of your furry friend(s). I will treat your pet like my own, and pick up poop, scoop cat litter, administer medicine.... whatever is needed. And I am comfortable with just about all animals. I have taken care of snakes, turtles, rabbits, birds, ducks, horses, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, squirrels.... and, of course, dogs and cats! Why I love dog sitting I've loved dogs of all shapes and sizes since I fell in love with my first dog, Snoopy, when I was just a kid. I have cared for many dogs, not just making sure they have food, water and regular exercise, but also, brushing, playing ball, administering eye drops, ointments, shots, oral medicines, and changing bandages. My husband and I have had our own dogs, as well as sitting dogs and fostering puppies. Meet my pets One cat: Achilles. A yellow tabby, who, big surprise, loves to nap!
