Pet care experience
I've been taking care of dogs for most of my adult life. I started with dog sitting in college, and then became an active volunteer in dog rescue in 2008. I adopted my first dog in 2009 and have fostered dogs regularly since then as well. I volunteer with Live Like Roo and Alive Rescue, and I regularly foster puppies with Alive - in fact my newest dog Maren is a foster fail from there! I also regularly help out my friends with their dogs when they go out of town or need someone to let them go out for a walk, or just need some playtime in my yard.
Reviews
Christine was amazing! Should took such great care of my dog and welcomed him into her home. Her house and yard was clean and my dog was well cared for. Highly recommend her. I hate leaving my dog behind, but knowing he was with Christine was a huge comfort.
Highly recommend! Ours was a last minute booking and chose Christine based on her high reviews and proximity to our home. Everything was great-she is awesome and her pets are as well. There was frequent communication before and during the stay. Boomer was well taken care of and lots of photos were shared showing our pup all settled in, comfortable and happy. We definitely hope Christine is available the next time we need someone to watch Boomer.
It's a rare find to have a caregiver who truly treats your dogs as they do their own, is dependable, reliable, professional and consistent. Christine has been watching my two dogs for many years. When I'm on vacation or away for the day and need a drop in visit, I'm able to enjoy my time knowing my babies are in THE best hands. She has an amazing fenced yard for outdoor play and a dog friendly home with plenty of toys and brain games to keep the pups busy. I'm a forever client!
I boarded my girl, Alaska, with Christine for a week this past August. Alaska loved having companions and a big back yard. I loved knowing that Alaska was safe and that Christine would treat Alaska as one of her own. Christine worked hard to give Alaska an experience "as close to normal" as possible. At home, Alaska has free reign of the house, and Christine was able to lovingly accomodate us, as one of her own dogs also has free reign. While Alaska was a bit shy/uncertain at first, Christine notified me quickly that she was becoming comfortable. Drop off and pick up were very easy to coordinate.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard and two friendly pups, along with a dog tolerant cat (haha). Any pups that stay with me will receive the same love and attention as my own fur babies. I can crate your dog if needed and/or gate them off into a room if either of those are their safe space. I have a pen as well if that is where your pup is used to sleeping.

Information Christine H. would like to know about your pet
Please provide proof of vaccines including Bordatella. How does your dog behave when left alone (is there any separation anxiety)? What kind of energy level does your dog have? Does your dog have any resource guarding issues? How much exposure has your dog had to cats and/or other dogs?
A typical day
Each day starts out with a walk or playtime in the yard! After breakfast we usually have a cuddle session on the couch or more playtime (depending on what your dog likes) before I head to the sunroom for a day of work. Dogs have free roam in the living room, kitchen and my office while I’m working and are given puzzle toys to challenge their mind as well. They are able to go out in the yard as much as they desire. When I’m done with work it’s time for another walk around the neighborhood. Then home for dinner and more playtime outside or inside depending on the weather. Fetch is a big activity in our house, but if your dog just wants to chill that is fine too! Then out for another potty break and everyone settles in for the night on the couch to relax in front of the tv until bedtime, when we go outside one last time.

I work remote so I have plenty of time to give your pups love and attention! I usually do go in to the office for a few hours one day a week, however this is completely at my discretion. Dogs are free to go out in my fenced in yard whenever they would like - the back door is right next to my desk so it is easy for me to step outside and monitor playtime. On the weekends we tend to spend a lot of time playing outside in the yard and/or going for longer walks. And lots and lots of cuddle time all the time!
