Pet care experience
I've grown up with dogs all my life and currently have my own dog, Olive! She is one and a half and we've had her since she was 10 weeks old. My first family dog was a welsh terrier who was with us from first grade until I graduated college. He was a feisty one! In college, I volunteered at the Tallahassee Animal Shelter (Go Noles!) where I took care of all sizes, ages, and breeds of dogs. My duties ranged from cleaning out the kennels to showing potential adopters the dogs and their temperament, and general care and playing. Since moving to the DC area a little over 4 years ago, I've pet sat for several friends and even helped watch service dogs in training with Hero Dogs. I'm ready and qualified to take care of your furry friend (or friends) to make sure your dog feels as comfortable as they can while you're away!

Where do I start.... Christine and her boyfriend are my savior!!!! Last minute, and Beau loved them! Still sleep from their day together. They are his new part time family! I would recommend them again and again. Thank you soooo much!
Christine was awesome! She took such good care of our dog, Bailey, who tends to have a bit of separation anxiety. Christine sent us pictures and updates throughout the weekend, and made both Bailey and myself feel reassured. We absolutely recommend Christine, and hope she’s available during our next weekend away!
Christine and her boyfriend were awesome! Christine was very communicative and sent me pictures and updates all throughout the day. Nash had so much fun at her house that he didn’t want to leave. He was whining and staring out the window when we left. Will definitely be contacting her again if I need help in the future!
I've known Christine for 16 years and she has always been the most responsible and caring person I know. I have also spent a lot of time with her and her family dogs throughout the years. I live in an apartment that is very dog-friendly and has its own, private dog park. There are also several grassy areas just outside the door for early morning and late night potty breaks. We're close to the Wharf and Navy Yard so if your dog is ready for a long walk, I'll be right behind them!

Eating schedule and amount, how many times/day does the dog usually need to go on a walk, what are their sleeping preferences (crate, dog bed, etc.), and if he/she gets along with other dogs (or if we should cross the street if we see another dog coming our way!)
A typical day
Southwest Waterfront and the nearby area has tons of trails, parks, and dog-friendly places! I'm willing to take your dog wherever you feel comfortable with me taking them. I'm also happy to drive to a dog park if that's something that your dog enjoys!

I work full-time from home during the week. My work schedule is flexible, so I can easily take breaks every 1-2 hours to take your dog on walks. During the weekends, I'm mostly a homebody so your dog will have one-on-one attention and I love going for long walks in the afternoon!
