Pet care experience
I am an 18-year elementary school teacher turned pet sitter. I have dog/cat sat for friends and family members for many years . I am available to walk, play, clean kitty litter, administer medicine, or just cuddle on the couch with your furry friend. I have 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1 chameleon. I would love to add more, but my hubby won't allow me to :) We recently rescued a dog from the humane society, where my daughter and I have volunteered for the last 2 years. I have experience with all dog breeds/sizes, and I am currently enrolled in puppy obedience classes. My family and I live in downtown area, and I would love to serve the downtown Indy community.

Can’t say enough good things about Christina! She went above and beyond for our senior dog, Max. It was my first time using rover and she was extremely communicative, accountable, and loving to Max over the course of their two weeks of walks together. I hope to get an opportunity to hire Christina again!

I realize that inviting a stranger into your home to care for one of your fur babies can be a little unnerving. This is why I prefer meeting my clients beforehand so we can all (humans and pets) become more comfortable with the idea. If you do decide that I am the right person to care for your pet, I promise I will always treat your home and pet(s) with the utmost respect.

I like to meet with my clients ahead of time to discuss care and/or any special instructions. I want my clients to get to know me first so we can all be more comfortable with our arrangement. It is also very important that I know every detail about your pet before being responsible for caring for them!
A typical day
When I am hired to care for a pet, I dedicate the entire time to the pet or pets I am with. I realize that your pet has been alone for many hours and this is their ONE break in the day where they get to see a human friend. Therefore, I will do ANYTHING I can to make the time we spend together a special one for them and I will dedicate every minute I am there by TRULY being present. When dog sitting, I absolutely LOVE taking them out for long walks, looking for and chasing squirrels, finding sticks, making and meeting friends (humans or other dogs), and taking as many cute pictures and videos we can for you so you can see all the fun we are having! I also feel it's very important that I build a trusting connection and friendship with your dog. It is imperative that they trust and feel safe with me. In order to make that happen, I like to spend some time with them at home, hanging on the couch, playing with toys, and showing them some affection. When cat sitting, I like doing all the same things (except the walks, of course :)).

Availability
I am on a very flexible schedule. I can work between the hours of 8:30-3:00 and 4:00-7:00 on weekdays, and I am pretty wide open on the weekends. The earliest you can reach out to me, the more likely I can serve you!
