Pet care experience
Was 4-H dog leader for 6 years, trained dogs for work and show, worked as trainer at large animal shelter, worked at Petsmart, Petco and had own pet sitting business in Valley Center CA, Dana Point, CA and in Long Island, NY for horses, goats, dogs, cats, sheep, chickens and cattle. I have cats, chickens and equines and have had rehab abused dogs as pets for 15 years. I have handled 100's of dogs and worked with many owners. Good love of animals, can medicate and trim nails and have handled emergencies when they occur. Had daily jobs in the morning for over 2 years, feeding goats and horses. Did overnight cat and dog care on ranches in CA. I have now been in OR for over 2 years. Have references.

I have handled all breeds, I do like to observe a dog in their comfortable area to see what makes them happiest. I like to know if there is something that makes a dog uncomfortable so I can either avoid stressing them out or help them if they need to desensitize to a given situation. I always see myself as a visiting Grandma type.
A typical day
I love hiking the trails in our local area, letting dogs run and swim and be a dog. I also like agility and letting dogs work their minds as well as their bodies.
