Pet care experience
In my 30 years I’ve had to honor of loving on 7 kitties and 7 doggies! I have 2 of my own cats that I love with all my heart. I will say cats are my speciality, I have experience with understanding cat care including feeding schedules, litter box maintenance, automatic litter box troubleshooting, administering oral medication as well as nail care. One of my cats has separation anxiety so I understand how hard it is to leave your babies, I am here to provide them love and attention while you’re away. Regarding dog care: while I am not as familiar with dogs, I am comfortable caring for them. I have a special place in my heart for schnauzers, 3 of my nieces and nephews are schnauzers! (Yes I refer to them as nieces and nephews). I am learning how to care for and train my sisters giant schnauzer puppy (she’s less than 1yr old). I often care for her 10 yr old mini schnauzer. My brother also has a mini who is very protective so I’m familiar with gaining trust with pets who are hesitant to strangers. I’ve also cared for my sisters mini schnauzer/silk terrier until he unexpectedly passed away. I am now learning to care for her new puppy, an 8lb cavapoo! On top of all this, I get to meet my couples pets during their engagement sessions and wedding days where I have the honor of photographing them with their fur babies! Dogs I’ve been able to photograph include Great Danes, lots of goldens and even a teacup maltipoo. I’ve also had a few in-home photography sessions where I got to meet their kitties!

Christina takes care of my two dogs often, checking in on them when I’m away and out of town on business. I have a small and large breed dog that both have individual needs. I trust her when I need someone reliable to care of my puppy and older dog. she doesn’t hesitate to call or text when she has questions or concerns. When she checks in on them, she will send me photo and video updates that are so appreciated when I miss my fur babies. She is both a dog and cat lover and it shows in how well she takes care of my animals.

I own a condo so unfortunately I cannot care for any additional animals in my home. I also don’t want to disrupt my cats lifestyle. Coming to your home to care for your pet is where I’m comfortable. Cat care: I am comfortable scooping litter, administering oral medication, cleaning food bowls, maintaining your feeding schedule, nail trimmings, brushing and coat care. And of course playing with your babies! Dog care: I am comfortable coming to your home to provide your dog with exercise whether that’s playing in your fenced in yard and tossing a ball around, or talking you baby on walks. I have bathed my sisters dogs so if that’s something that’s needed I am open to this depending on the size of your dog. I am comfortable with learning how you want your dog trained and reenforcing any training when I’m with them. I feel comfortable caring for small to medium sized dogs. Anything over 40lbs I would prefer to meet the dog first to see if I’m comfortable with your pet. I am petite 5’2” so I just want to make sure I can control your pet on walks.

Before working with you I would love to know more about your pets personalities. How do they do with strangers, are they an alpha, do they have anxiety when being away from you? With dogs, I would love to know any history on your pet - how to they do on walks? Are they pullers or walk by your side? Have they ever had any aggression issues? Do they have any spots they prefer their pets? Are they one who loves belly rubs? Or do they prefer pets on their chin or back?
A typical day
Cat visits may seem simple, stop in, check on things and leave. However your cat often needs stimulation and play time just like any animal. Cat visits include feedings, litter box cleaning, play time, treats and snuggles or lots of pets! Often times dog care will include a walk with some play time in a yard if it’s fenced in. Once I get more familiar with your dog I am open to taking it to a nearby dog park for play time if requested. Ending the visit with some snuggles or treats!

Im a wedding photographer so I am self employed and work from home so my schedule is extremely flexible. Only days where pet care is not doable is typically Saturdays when I’m working a wedding.
