I’ve always been an animal lover, and a person who animals love as well. I watch all kinds of animals for friends and family and folks referred by friends and family. I can watch multiple animals from one household, I have experience with senior pets and administering medications. I am happy to match the energy level of your animal, if they need lots of play time or want a couch companion. I will do baths, grooming appointments, accommodate strict rules that you may have, and can also lean into a very laid back lifestyle for your pet. I am intuitive to pets needs and communications, I have LOTS of patience, and I love making animals feel special and cared for.

I was worried about how my anxious rescue would respond to a relative stranger in her life, but it was all for unfounded. Christina endeared herself to my pup in seconds with a single round of tug and a good cuddle. She followed my prescriptive food and medicine regime to the letter. She was also a super great communicator and sent daily pictures/updates. It made being separated from my dog better knowing she was clearly being pampered and loved.
She was amazing and attentive to our animals! She’s very flexible and easy going with schedules and changes. Thank you so much for watching our pets! We will be repeat customers!

Most often I care for pets in the homes they live in/that belong to my clients. I am easily able to navigate door locks/security systems, will follow instructions to a tee. I confirm clients’ and pets’ confidence in being left unattended, and will set up an area with a barrier for pets to remain safe when alone if necessary. When staying at my own home, pets are welcome to be on furniture if that aligns with home rules, and I have set locations for food/water bowls, bed/crate, toy box, and leash. My building has a gated courtyard, central AC and heat, is quiet, and a smoke-free building. I also live on the first floor, so easy access for emergency bathroom breaks :)

Special needs/food/medications are good to know in advance, and I am happy to accommodate. Also any strict rules that I should continue with your pet. If I am in your home I like to be aware of doggy cameras or Ring doorbell camera. Any behaviors I should be aware of as well, such as humping, marking, potty accident likelihood, aggressive with other dogs, etc.
A typical day
I like to play tug and practice any skills/tricks with treats for reward :) also love a feather toy or lasers with cats! I like to go on lots of walks around the neighborhood. I also have friends with large fenced in yards that we go to visit sometimes too!

Availability
I work full time from home 730-4. I do have one small male dog who is a senior and keeps to himself around other animals. My schedule can be worked to fit what the animal may need and how frequently they need it. I have my own vehicle to transport animals to appointments or parks or play dates, and my evenings and weekends are also flexible.
