Dog Mom at your service

Pet care experience

I’ve been a dog and cat mom for 40 years. I have experience with multiple medical conditions in dogs and cat including diabetes, kidney failure, blindness, deafness, hypothyroidism and cerebellar hypopoasia. And I have a deep understanding of dogs and their behavior. I understand when they are scared and snap as well as when they are happy and excited. I will work to make your dog as comfortable, secure and happy with me as possible. I have two dogs and two grand-puppies. I love large and small dogs and have a special love for seniors. I am frequently in the Greenfield, Fortville, Mccordsville and Lawrence areas so they are particularly good for my schedule. I hope to provide your dog with the love and care he/she needs when you can’t be there.

I have known Chris for two years. Not only is she a great co-worker, but she is someone I call Friend. I have heard all about her own pets. At first, I shook my head at some of the restrictions Chris had on her time; but the more I heard, the more I realized her genuine love and concern she had for her pets. We both work A LOT, but no matter, she arranged daycare for then dogs; one needing daily injections, and went straight away to pick them up after work. As for myself, I now co-reside with with Leo, the one-eyed cat; who came from Chris. She rescued him on the coldest night of the year as a stray. He had fought hard in the streets and was in pretty bad shape; ultimately, having to have his eye removed. We are still in a tentative love/hate relationship, and he is referred to as Chris' cat, when I am telling her a story which usually ends with me getting swatted by a cat paw. I have no reservations in recommending Chris as a sitter for anyone's beloved pets.

I have watched Christina take care of numerous pets over many years, always with great dedication and devotion. The most notable example of this was an older Jack Russell terrier who had been returned to the animal shelter multiple times. Christina took him home immediately, and Peanut became a member of her family. Soon she realized that Peanut had symptoms of diabetes, which was confirmed by the vet. With the aid of twice daily insulin shots, lots of love, and good care, he led a full and happy life. She had him about 8 years.

Christina is a wonderful person, she has such an amazing sense for helping and caring for animals when they need it. She is skilled with all kinds of special needs and senior animals. She is such a kind, caring and easy going person. There is no one I would rather have my dogs stay with, than her. She is going to really take care of your dogs, just like she would her own. She will also make sure to do everything to make your dog as happy, and cared for as you would.

Christina is absolutely the best dog watcher I could ask for. Traveling frequently and many times unexpectedly, I needed someone I could trust who was dependable, flexible, and accommodating. Winner! I could call from half the country away and, with her own copy of a key to my home, she would be ready to head to my house and let my two golden retrievers out, get them fed, play... anything they needed!
