Pet care experience
**NOTE: I'm here to offer services out of love and passion for both pets and their people :) This is not my primary source of income.** I've lived with pets my whole life, and tend to make it my mission to befriend every pet I meet. My friends are usually surprised at my ability to make even the most skittish rescues comfortable around me. I've been house and pet-sitting casually for my church community for 4 years, and we've been fostering Eli, the family dog, for a year in June. He's 9 years old, but you bet I taught that old dog new tricks! Eli suffers from anxiety, so I've learned to be incredibly patient and attentive with dogs who need a little extra love and care! Senior or pup, I can match their energy to meet them where they are in life-- and you'd be surprised, but I'm confident even you senior cat will like a little (accomodated/accessible) playtime! I've helped care for both birds and fish as well.
Reviews
Although my dog was fine when I got home: Christina was late to 6 of the 8 visits I scheduled with her. She also said she went to a morning visit when she had not. She did eventually go 2 hours later. I have an elderly dog who requires medication with meals so this was very upsetting. Last, she forgot the key I gave her & so had to use my hidden key. She has not returned the hidden key. Overall very disappointed.
We would definitely hire Christina again for our next trip! She was very attentive to the diverse needs and personalities of our pets. I could tell that our most cuddly pet received so much appreciated attention. She also went above and beyond to ensure that our house was well taken care of while we were away, and communicated well/ kept us updated on important information throughout our trip.
Christina is a thoughtful and thorough pet sitter. During our meet n greet she took notes and asked many good questions! She kept in touch while I was away and connected with me when she had a concern about the dog's licking/itching. I knew what the problem was and she followed all instructions and happily went to get Benadryl, double-checking with me on administration of the right dosage. She made great friends with the dog and cat and everyone seemed happy. It was a biggish deal for me as it was the first time I left home since adopting Etta dog nearly a year ago. BTW, she is an online college [?] student and spends a lot of time at the house. She also has house *smarts* which is unusual for a young woman who hasn't owned her own home. Christina is coming back again for my next weekend sojourn. Very pleased!
Christina is an animal lover through and through, who is dedicated to ensuring the safety and care of all pets they encounter. Christina has pet sit countless animals in their days, and knows how to handle even the least welcoming of furry friends. I trust their hands and watchful eyes with any of my cats or dogs when I'm away.

Safety, trust & environment
Pet care for me means firstly focusing on their needs; however I also like to make a point to spend time in a shared space to build trust, talk to them, and to give them whatever type of attention they want. I'm a work-hard-play-hard kinda gal with my furry (or feathered :P) friends!
Information Christina L. would like to know about your pet
Safety first! It's important that I have you, and your pets veterinarian information on-hand should anything happen, as well as any dietary restrictions or potential triggers. Other helpful information would include training level, comfort level with handling, what their motivators are, and how well they handle car rides.
A typical day
I live in a quiet, residential neighborhood near several lovely walking/hiking trails, one of which has a shallow stream which I'd love to romp around in with your pup! We have a nicely sized yard to run around in as well. That said, I'm a firm believer in the individuality of each dog, and and prepared to provide activities suited to their preferences. I have plenty of activities for sniffers and workers alike, from snuffle mats to dig pits, or obstacle courses to treasure hunts.

I'm fully remote at the moment, and between work and school I'm online about 25 hours a week. I have plenty of time throughout my day to spend with your pet(s), and I'm very excited to use it!
