Pet care experience
If you need an experienced and loving caretaker for your dog look no further! I grew up surrounded by dogs. My family fostered dogs for our local shelter since I was 10 years old. My whole life it was rare to have fewer than 5 dogs in our house. I have experience raising and training puppies; as well as, skiddish dogs of all ages. I would walk our dogs three times a day; in addition to walking/watching neighbors’ dogs when needed. I have also been through and helped instruct various training courses: behavioral, skills-based, and puppy-specific.

Christina made going away for a few days much more at ease! We found comfort knowing our fur-babies were being left in such good hands. One of our dogs does not take to strangers well yet Christina must have a special gift because she seemed to warm up quite nicely to her. She is responsible and reliable and we will definitely be asking her to dog sit for us again in the future! Highly recommend!
Christina F. has a unique and amazing gift of relating to and caring for dogs. She grew up in a multi-dog household in which foster dogs were regularly incorporated into her pack. Christina has the ability to relate to and care for a variety of breeds and temperaments. Many of the foster dogs she cared for possessed physical and behavioral issues. She skillfully dealt with these and successfully increased the confidence of those dogs. Her passion and enthusiasm for dogs is readily apparent and her love for walking and caring for them makes her the perfect choice for any pet owner.

I have a fenced yard. There is a nearby dog park that is a nice walk away. I live with one roommate, who is also an animal lover. We have no dogs, only one cat who is very dog-friendly. Very spacious home, with lots of room to play!

Generally, I would like to know about a dog’s social behavior. For example: are they outgoing or skiddish? Do they get along with other dogs? If not, is this all dogs or a certain size? What is their favorite toy or game to play? How often do they normally walk? My goal is to maximize your dog’s enjoyment while minimizing their stress. Every dog has their own quirks!
A typical day
When taking your care of your cherished pet we will go on long walks through the park where they can smell to their heart’s content; as well as, frequent play sessions and, of course, belly rubs!

Availability
I am currently a graduate student at University of New Orleans. The only relatively busy day I have is Wednesday, all other days I am all day except for an hour and a half around 9:30. I am free anytime on the weekends.
