Pet care experience
I have been a dog sitter/house sitter for over 20 years and have experience with every type of situation and handled multiple emergencies. I had a successful housesitting/pet sitting business in LA County with many happy clients before COVID killed it. I am a Christian and a member of Hayden Bible Church. I will love your dogs like they are my own. At this time I am not able to do dog walking beyond 5 minutes a day. I am also allergic to cats and unable to take jobs with indoor cats although I can provide care for outdoor only cats.

We had a meet and greet with Christina before we reserved our dates. Sterling is usually a little nervous around new people. Within just a few minutes he was on his back wanting belly rubs. When Christina came back to pick up the key he seemed excited to see her. We had no hesitation leaving him in her care. It is such a relief knowing we have someone we trust to watch over things while we are gone. We will not hesitate to call on Christina again.
We have just used Christina’s services for the first time in April for 3 weeks. She was great! She sent pictures and updates of our 2 dogs and texted us if she had any questions. We found her to be self sufficient, but conscientious about valid concerns she had about changes in behavior, etc. We WILL be using her services again!
We do not have dogs, however if I did I would absolutely trust Christina to care for them while we would be away! I know this because of the careful attention she paid to caring for our salt water fish many times when we would go away for the weekend or longer. It involved more than just feeding them twice daily. Keeping the sock filter clean and dispensing chemicals were required as well and we knew Christina was dependable and responsible to care our fish and all their intricacies.
Christina was a regular dog sitter for us for many years and she was always my go-to when we would leave. I would have her come still if she hadn’t moved to a different state! Not only is she incredibly reliable, she followed our instructions without fail. This included giving insulin when our pup developed diabetes. She even managed a medical emergency once when we were gone with flying colors. She really paid attention to how our dog was acting. I know for a fact that she truly cares about the animals she watches. She is very responsible and trustworthy, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for help.

Unfortunately I am not able to provide care in my home because my lease does not allow pets not even for a short term stay. I will do basic cleaning up after myself and your pets. I can also water plants, bring in the mail and take out the garbage. I will bring all my own food for my stay in your home.

Please let me know how often your dog needs to be let out and how often to feed. Any medications or special diet is helpful to know as well.
A typical day
If your dog likes to play fetch we will do a lot of that! I also welcome dogs snuggling with me on the couch. Dogs are welcome to sleep in the same room with me although I prefer not in the bed with me!

Availability
I do not currently work outside the home so I’m able to be with your pets a lot of the time as long as I have access to Wi-Fi. At this time I’m only accepting jobs staying overnight in your home. Typically I’m not able to take last minute bookings and need at least one week notice. Except for major holidays I also do not take bookings more than 6 weeks out because my schedule/availability can change. I’m available in Hayden, CDA and southern parts of Rathdrum but not usually outside those areas.
