I have owned dogs for my entire life, and have a lot of experience in raising them throughout all of their development. I also have plenty of experience house sitting older dogs, who may need more care than younger dogs. I am currently enrolled in the PGSP-Stanford Consortium Psy.D. program, and am pursuing a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I would love to supplement my work with people with some quality time with animals. I firmly believe in "pet therapy"- that animal companions are an essential part of human life, and that simply being around them provides healing and love. I am not currently in a position where I am able to own a dog, so being able to take care of other people's dogs seems like the next best thing! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be home a lot during the day, so they would be around humans for the majority of the time that they were in my house.
