Fenced yard with three loving pups!

Pet care experience

I am a huge animal lover! I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Biology (emphasis: Wildlife), hoping to one day work at a wildlife rehab center. I am the person you are most likely spot on the side of the road trying to help a turtle cross :) I grew up on a 10acre farm with horses, chickens, rabbits, dogs and cats! I’ve taken care of various kinds of animals since I was 14 years old. My main responsibilities were to feed and clean up after our animals (clean stalls, change bedding, check waters, etc). I have experience giving medications and feel comfortable doing that with provided instruction. Puppies? No problem! We are stocked with puppy pads, chew toys, training treats, you name it- your little pup will be spoiled! I grew up around Rottweilers and English Mastiffs, so big dogs don’t turn me away :) **Earning professional dog training certificate! -will soon know CPR and first aid! **

We have had Christina take care of our dog and cats multiple times and she and TJ always do an amazing job. They really go beyond expectations to make them comfortable and work with us on scheduling and special needs. Highly recommended!!

Christina (and TJ) took excellent care of my dog while I was away for the weekend and really went above and beyond to make him feel at home and work with my schedule. She communicated constantly and made me feel totally at ease. They have three great dogs who are well socialized and welcomed mine into their pack immediately. Highly recommend!

We have used Christina in the past to care for our dog. Christina is a very caring, animal friendly, young woman who adores animals and enjoys interacting with them. I and my wife have been very pleased with the care she has provided in the past. I trust her with my pets and would gladly use her services again and I would highly recommend her to care for your pets, too!

I have a fenced in back yard with adequate room to play. I am located in a cul-de-sac so not much traffic comes through- it is great for walks! There is also a large park within walking distance. I do have three doggos and one cat that are very friendly and love to play! My oldest is a 5 year old mix (42lbs), 4 month old Dachshund and a 2 month old Rottweiler! My house is one that is filled with love and lots of toys :) If you have a more laid back dog, they will get along great with my oldest dog. But don’t worry- if your dog loves to be outside and have constant play, there is room for that and two other companions that would love to join in! As for humans, it is just my fiancé and I. We work very flexible schedules so if one of us is gone, the other is usually able to be home. Also my house has multiple areas to put up baby gates and play pens if you would prefer your dog doesn’t interact with our dogs.

Please inform me if your dog/puppy is not fully potty trained - it is not an issue, I’d just like to know so I can make sure to have the front line potty essentials ready! If your dog doesn’t jive with others (dog/humans/cats/etc), or gets a little food aggressive, please let me know so I can make sure they are their most comfortable! I do not have any breed restrictions/preferences, I love them all the same :)

A typical day

The hottest commodity at our house is the never ending toy bag! I am a sucker for dog toys and we have a variety. As long as the weather is relatively nice, you can expect your pup to get lots of outdoor time (if you wish!), we have a 6 foot privacy fence and a decently sized back yard. We are tucked away in a little neighborhood which makes walks super enjoyable and quiet (thankfully there is no hustle and bustle to have to worry about since we are in a ‘no outlet’). I make sure to give my dogs plenty of rest in between play times, so a cuddle on the couch is always scheduled! :)

Availability

I work part time, two days a week (Monday and Wednesday), about 10 minutes away from my house. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and the weekend are completely available. I am free before 1pm and after 6pm on Monday and Wednesday, so if you need an overnight stay, walk, or just a check in (potty break) I am available for that. For doggy day care: Any drop off before 7am will be a $5 extra charge (due to the nature of the timing). Pick up time is no later than 9pm for regular rates. Any pick ups after 9pm will be an extra $5 charge. For dog boarding: Please plan to pick up your pup no later than 11am the next day, otherwise it will result in an additional doggy day care fee *unless there was a prior discussion about pick up times, I will work with you!
