Hi! My name is Christina! A bit about me, I'm an avid animal lover and life-long animal advocate. I have worked alongside animals of many kinds all my life. I'm also the founder of a local volunteer wildlife conservation group (ask me about it, I love talking about our work and success!) I decided to start my business 'Happy Ears Dog Walking and Pet Care' when I realized the need for more experienced and responsible Pet Care professionals. My services are unique, in that I tailor my work to the specifics of each individual Pet and family, in order to provide the best possible care. I have 2 of my own canine babies, a rescued 140 pound mixed breed guy, and his big brother a 10 pound maltese! I have 3 senior feline kids, and 2 teenage human children! (Help me! Haha) I specialize in reading into animal behavior and language, and recognizing their individual needs, in order to provide your pet with the customized care that he or she deserves. I am certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, as well as Standard (Human) First Aid & CPR. My business is registered and insured. I have experience caring for and walking dogs of all sizes that other Dog Walkers or Pet Care providers have turned away, dogs that are dominant, reactive, barkers, pullers, chewers etc. Some dogs just need a little extra patience, time, and love. I am happy to provide that for them. They deserve it! Does your dog like to hit the path and get those steps in (times 4!)!? or maybe just doddle along and sniff every last blade of grass!? How 'bout a trip to the pet store for some treats!? I can do long walks or short walks, fast walks or slow walks. Whatever their little fuzzy heart needs and desires. Maybe you just need someone that your dog knows and loves to drop in for a backyard break, a feeding and fresh water, or to administer medications? I'm here for you and your best bud and happy to help in any way that I can. I offer specialized overnight Pet Care. Christina dropped by and took care of our fur babies. She was on time, provided pictures, played with them and they (and we were) were very happy with the visit! I strongly recommend connecting with Christina to walk or check on your dogs!!
My baby LOVES Christina and so do I! It’s so hard to relinquish your trust to anyone with your temperamental fur child. Especially such a big boy, like mine! It’s only been a week; but I totally trust Christina and her knowledge, care, and instincts. I’m so happy to have found her through the Rover app!
Christina has been walking my dog, Sophie, since 2016. She truly is the BEST and most reliable dogwalker anyone could ever have. In fact, Sophie loves Christina more than anyone else in the world. Christina won't just take your dog for a typical 30 minute walk. She really pays attention to their behaviour and adjusts the walk to what the dog needs that day. For example, on a hot sunny day she will be sure to take it slow and spend lots of time in the shade with rest breaks and water breaks. On a cold winter day she might find a place to play fetch and have lots of playtime in the snow! I often receive photos and text messages of the adventures, which puts me at ease if I've been away from home for a long time. If anything seems 'off' with Sophie, such as an upset stomach, Christina will be sure to let me know. Christina has a key to my house and can absolutely be trusted. She always makes sure water bowls are filled up and the doors are locked before she leaves. Christina is really flexible when it comes to scheduling. She has been available early in the morning, mid-day or even late at night, whatever is needed. She has been available to help during longer vacations as well. You and your dog will be happier with Christina in your life!
