Pet care experience
Hi friends! I am a non-smoking/drinking PhD student who works in the medical field. I specialize in psychology and training of special needs/high energy breeds, large dogs, puppies, as well as cats. I have a lengthy history of beginning with childhood animal husbandry including show/farm animals and training medical service animals. I’ve worked for OHSU’s Primate Research Center as well as Wag! Walker and Dog Gone Walking as field trainer/supervisor. I’m a retired Flight Paramedic and former Vet Tech. Let my lengthy history and medical training show you the difference between someone with a side gig and an industry professional. A pet is as unique as their owner and each animal has distinct needs, and expected routines. My expansive history in medical and prior pet care services prepares me for those kinds of hurdles you may worry about. From one animal lover to another, allow me to entrust your family member as part of my pack. I plan on being 100% available to the animals I board or stay with aside from drop-ins to let my animals out. This allows me to still spend time with new animals and maintain my goal of daily exposure to animals besides my own. My home has cameras fully surrounding the property and a fully fenced large forest canopy back yard. I am now “Aunt Christine” to about 10 repeat clients. In your home I’d like to be a friendly ghost. You won’t know I’ve stayed, I do household chores for a fee and often you will come home to a pet who has been freshly brushed/bathed/nails trimmed! Please check out my photos for before/afters on clean animals & homes :)
Reviews
Christina was awesome! We have a diabetic dog who needs injections and is blind, and another special needs dog that's really anxious with new people. Christina handled both with care! She also left the house very clean. Will definitely book her again if she's available!
Christina is so good with our 5 month old puppy! We are so grateful for her loving care.
Christina is the best! She was able to accommodate us on short notice and responds quickly. I trust her to take good care of my pup.
Christina is an amazing find on Rover! I am glad I found her for my 6 month old pup. She gave my needy pup all the love, care, and attention he required. My puppy got regular exercise and I was kept up to date at all times. She also took great care of my house and left it better than she found. Thank you for everything!

I have a fully fenced back yard with a large dog run. No matter if you have a fence digger - our fence is sunk into the ground!

Information Christina C. would like to know about your pet
Does your pet have allergies, boundaries, or triggers I should respect and prepare for? Every creature is unique, so I hope to treat them as the individuals they are. I am always up for a meet & greet whether it be virtual or in-person.
A typical day
My backyard is a protected hiking area. Walks? Check. Obedience work? Check. Leash training, command enforcement, and socialization work are areas of expertise, for a fee. I have veteran experience with puppies and working on anxiety, as well as high needs, reactive, disabled pets, medical needs, and service animals. Medication administration and special/medical diets are familiar to me, as I have a special needs pet myself.

I work from home, so when I am with an animal(s) aside from needing to leave for groceries or short errands, I’ll be staying put!
