Professional Dog Trainer

Pet care experience

** I have been inactive for a few years and have recently opened up for new clients! 11/28/2022** Unfortunately no same day requests for boarding can be approved. As a trainer with two dogs that have had incidents in the past with hurried stays, it's important that we have enough time for our dogs (and us! ) to have a meet and greet! Thank you for your understanding. Before training dogs for several years, I worked primarily as a caregiver for children, be it camp counselor, live in nanny, babysitter, tutor, etc etc. I love doing something that truly helps people and animals connect in a healthy and happy way! It’s a great way to earn a living! I keep open hours for flexibility. I am available during the day, after five pm, weekends and holidays. If you’re looking for commitment based, competent and experienced training, a walker, a sitter, or group classes I’d love to help you! I'm looking for long-term clients ideally, booking through here can be expensive and the fees on both sides can add up very fast. Please message me, I'm sure we can work something out if we are to work together often! Thank you! If you have any questions please reach out through the numbers on the website or through Rover! Thank you!

Great communication skills. Kept us posted on how Maya was doing, how the walk went and also gave Maya some decent training to top it off. Will definitely ask Christina to dog walk again for us in the future. She is a true pro.

Christina was the perfect fit for our family. She scheduled a meetup before our booking to make sure all parties felt comfortable. At that meeting, she helped me introduce our dog to her dogs individually in a safe way that made all the dogs and owners feel at ease. We then took the dogs on a short walk to see how they’d react walking closely to each other on leashes. Once we all felt good, THEN we booked. Our dog stayed with Christina for a full week, which according to the many, many pictures, videos and text updates, looked a lot like camp. Our dog got multiple walks each day, visited a goat farm, binged some TV shows and played in a fenced-in back yard. Our dog came home happy and healthy. We will continue to use Christina as our regular sitter.

If they are dog or human aggressive it’s not a deal breaker! Do they have a bite history? What kind of tools or tricks or devices do you use to manage their behavior? Are they crate trained?

A typical day

I love to take mine to Main street Park or for a walk in my neighborhood. We love going to Piedmont Park as well. We typically go for controlled heel walks, some light training with commands like sit, down, stay. If they know more I’d be happy to practice with them! We do not do unleashed dog parks.

I work at SMP and have always been an outdoorsy and animal person. I'm lucky to have a large fenced in yard and live in a nice neighborhood for walks. With my two senior dogs already, I say the more the merrier! I'm also lucky to work jobs with lots of understanding and support for their employees other ventures. It's beyond heartwarming to see my older dogs make friends and get some stimulation from having new guests over!
