Undivided Love and Care

Pet care experience

Good day to everyone and their fur babies! My name is Christina and I'm 24 years old from Fort Lauderdale, FL. I recently moved to Melbourne Beach with my boyfriend in early February 2022, and sadly left behind a wonderful job as a Veterinarian Technician at South Federal Animal Hospital. My passion in life has always been the care-taking of animals even since I was young. My whole life before I moved to Melbourne, I've had German Shepherds in my home. Such a truly wonderful, intelligent breed, but I learned a great deal about training, especially positive reinforcement, with owning a larger breed. Throughout my life I've also taken in and cared for around 13 stray cats, 1 of which became an indoor cat and lived out the rest of her years with me. Growing up I took on a lot of volunteer work at different animal shelters and rescue centers where I'd help care for different wildlife such as several bird species, squirrels, possums, and raccoons. I have also helped carry out adoptions at pet shops including Pet Smart and Pet Supermarket. In January 2021 I was blessed with a job as a Vet Tech at a wonderful animal hospital where they gave me on sight training. With vet tech experience I can also offer additional services if requested by a client, including anal gland expression, medication administration, ear cleanings, and nail trims. Such a rewarding and educative field to be in, however the best part of the job was the wonderful canines and felines I got to work with every day! That is why I have decided to work with Rover, with the benefit of my clients knowing their pets will be in the best of hands and smothered with love! Since I have only been living in Melbourne Beach for about a month, my schedule is completely open right now. I've been mostly staying at home and still getting adjusted after the move, while my boyfriend James attends firefighting school during the day and works as a waiter at night. I see Rover as a great opportunity to meet new people and their pets in a beautiful community I'm still getting familiar with. I'm currently living in a duplex with no open yard or fence, as well as a no pets allowed policy. As of right now I will only be able to board at a client's home and offer drop - in services. This can be less stressful on your dog or cat since they will be more comfortable staying in a familiar environment. I'm very respectable when visiting a client's home and will abide by any rules your home may have. I also have absolutely no problem cleaning whatever furry mess may be left behind during my visits. If your pet were to get into anything dangerous while with me, I've been trained to know signs to look for in case of emergency, including signs of lethargy, nausea, dehydration, body swelling, as well as changes in behavior and facial expressions. My #1 priority is the safety of your pets. If I feel something is wrong or off, they will be immediately taken to the nearest animal hospital or emergency center. I know very well how important they are to you, and will do my absolute best to provide them with the best care, as well as keep any clients updated as often as possible during their time with me.

Christina was amazing! We had an initial meet & greet and our dog immediately liked her. During our trip, Christina kept connecting with us providing pictures and making sure we understood everything was going well. We would definitely recommend her!

Christina is so sweet and caring! She was always on time and my two dogs adjusted amazing to her! I have a German Shepherd and Catahoula mix and she was awesome with them! 10/10 recommend and I will most definitely be using her in the very near future!

Information Christina B. would like to know about your pet

What I find important to know about a dog prior to a visit would be any behavioral issues they may have or triggers that a client may know of. Since working in the vet field I've learned it's helpful to know what can set your dog off or cause your pet any deal of stress, so I can make sure that doesn't happen. If your dog has any food allergies, please let me know ahead of time as your fur baby is sure to be spoiled with treats, I would just like to know which treats are safe for them. Also being informed of any medications your dog or cat requires, as I've been trained on how to administer most medications if needed.

A typical day

Any dogs that will be in my care will join on my adventures of learning the parks and fun spots of Melbourne which I have yet to explore. The beach is my favorite place to go, and I would love to spend time with your pets along the waterside. If any clients have any recommendations on parks or scenic areas in their neighborhood, I would love to check them out with your pups!
