I have grown up with and have owned pets my whole life from fish reptiles amphibians dogs cats and chickens I’ve been surrounded by it all! We have 3 young kids but they respect an animals space and we always supervise interactions. Well we lost our German shepherd February 9, 2023 and honestly I missed having a dog around but we were not ready to fill the space permanently so I thought this would be a good way to give back to the community while also filling a hole in our heart. So this is why we started Rover. We have just recently added a puppy into our home March 8 2024 and he loves to make new friends. We have a large fenced backyard and a great walking trail that leads to Frank Annberg park. Please be descriptive and honest when handing over your pet so that I can best care for their needs and that includes their short comings so I can prepare my household as well and keep everyone safe happy and sanitary. I’m comfortable in administering medication to include pills and injections. The more information you can give me the better on your furry friend. I can assure you we will treat your babies like they are our own while adhering to yours and their specific care needs.

Christina and her family have shown our old girl lots of love and fun. We recently lost our old man, so she has been very lonely. It was great to see Christina’s newest family member get her up and moving again during her stay. She’s looking forward to the next she gets to have a play date!
Christina was amazing in how she was flexible with my crazy schedule and took such great care of my pups definitely will be utilizing her amazing servers to my pups again

I booked with Christina to watch my dog and it was the best experience I could have asked for. She always made time to keep me updated on how Maera was doing and welcomed her as part of the family while I was away. Throughout the entire time, I knew I never had to worry because she was taking amazing care of my dog.

As I said before I have a large fenced backyard. The neighbor has two small dogs that sometimes run the fence but there’s no holes or breaks in the fence allowing access to them and they aren’t out for very long. I have two cats who will speculate from afar or hide depending on the energy of your animal but they don’t have their front claws. The majority of our house is carpeted so senior dogs with unstable hips will be comfortable. I would prefer you bring their favorite bed toy or comfort item. I have food and water bowls and some left over food from my dogs passing but if you need to me to feed your pup please bring food. I am Open to bathing your dog by taking them to sunflower pet store where they have the self dog washing station as long as you feel comfortable that they will tolerate it. Price varies on dog size I don’t do hair cuts but I clean ears and cut nails if they tolerate it. I can take your dog on a walk in the neighborhood and will send frequent pictures. I’m huge on communication.

A typical day
I love to help get your pup nice and tired so that when you get home from work they are ready to snooze or if staying for an extended time while super excited to see you they might be sad to leave when you return my goal is for them to be soo happy and excited to come back. Some nights that I work super late I might take a day of rest and be less active with them outdoor but they’ll get plenty of snuggles and attention.

Availability
I am generally home all day, I do take my kids to school in the morning and am gone from 8am-9am and then I return home and stay home until about 3pm where I pick up my kids and return home around 330pm then I am on call for emergencies at the hospital from 5-7am the hours I am not home in the evening I have a baby sitter or my husband at the house. If your pet can tolerate going for a car ride and your comfortable I am more than happy to take them or leave them or stay home and not leave that day until I have to to go work just let me know what your pet tolerates best.
