Pet care experience
I grew up taking care of my Lab, Corgi, and cat, but I am unable to commit to pet ownership at this stage in my life. I am active, so I can accommodate an active animal. I live on 2.5 acres and abutting property is conservation land with a few miles of trails. Your pet and I will take lots of walks or runs (if he/she wants). I work primarily from home, so I'll be around to spend time with your pet. My husband, David, is available to assist as needed. He has traditional office hours but can be a resource in the early mornings or evenings. A friend of mine plans vacations around when I'm available to watch his pit bull mix and doberman mix. I'll give your pets lots of love, and I'm happy to accommodate dogs who need special attention. I have no pets or kids, so your animal can be the center of attention.

Christin has been watching my two dogs for the last 7 years. My wife and I can always rest easy on our vacations knowing that our two pooches will be well taken care of. Christin is very good about sending photo and text updates. It's also a great relief knowing that the dogs can stay in their home and stay on their routines, as Christin has always been willing to come and stay with them. The dogs always light up when they see Christin coming up the drive, as they know they will be getting extra good couch snuggles! Whether your dog is big (like ours) or small, Christin is a friend to canines of all persuasions. Any dog would be lucky to have Christin watching them.
Christin is a wonderful girl with high integrity and a big heart for animals. I have known her many years, and trust her to care for my fur babies as well as my human kids. She recently began working from home, and can dote on your pup much of the day. Christin is very energetic, athletic and loves the outdoors. If your dog likes to run, I'm sure Christin will enjoy having canine company on her running excursions. Your dog will be in a safe, loving home when you book a dog vacation with Christin. You are lucky to have found her!

I want to be aware if your pet is uncomfortable being around other animals, kids, men, etc. Also, I'd like to know if the dog has any special needs regarding meals, medicine, frequent potty breaks, etc. In the past few years, I dog-sat a Golden Retriever, a Basset Hound, a Pit Bull mix, Labrador, and a Doberman mix. No breed preference. I'm a foster parent with the local MSPCA (I foster cats for them). However, if I'm showing availability on Rover, that means that I won't have a cat at that time.
A typical day
I'm happy to throw a ball or a frisbee if your dog loves to fetch and can be counted on to come when called.
