Hi! My name is Christie and I’m a 27 year old elementary health teacher here in Vermont who is available to pet sit from your home as well as do dog walks. I am great with all animals and truly care for them as individuals. I’ve grown up with dogs, as well as am comfortable with cats and dogs of all sizes. I’m very laid back and responsible, as well as am personable and attentive to detail. My experience with 3 years as a classroom health teacher in addition to 8 years of lifeguarding has shaped me to perform well under pressure through whatever situation that may pop up. I am a caring person and am genuinely interested in supporting the well being of the non-humans around me. I don’t have any pets myself due to being a young professional who lives in an apartment setting in Montpelier. I would love to chat with you about assisting you and your pet(s)!

Christie lived at my house for around a year. I had a very old cat and a small dog. I would come home and they would be curled up with her on the couch while she was reading. When I had to be away she would take care of them for me ( I would not leave my animals with just anyone- they are precious to me) she is an incredibly responsible, patient, caring, kind loving person who I found a calming presence. Christie is great with my dog, Jaxon. She has cared for him in multiple ways, including taking him on individual walks and watching him overnight. She is always mindful of his hip dysplasia and food allergies and he is always happy and healthy when I come home. Highly recommend!
I've known Christie her whole life. She is such a caring and very responsible person. She just loves dogs and all animals. She has had dogs her entire life. She also has dog sat and walked my dog Trinket many times for me. I would trust her to house sit and take care of my animals anytime!

I love to spend time outside and to go out on nice walks, even in the colder temperatures. In the Montpelier area, I love taking walks at the North Branch Nature Center and at Hubbard Park.
