Hi! I'm an American photographer living in Rome and learning Italian. I've loved animals my entire life and grew up with dogs, so caring for them comes naturally to me. As an adult, I've been trusted by colleagues, friends, and family to care for their dogs and cats while they're away. I'm calm, patient, and attentive, and I know every pet has their own unique personality. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with quiet company, I'm happy to adapt to their routine and make them feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I love exploring Rome on foot, so I'm always excited to take dogs on enjoyable walks around the neighborhood or nearby parks. I'm comfortable caring for cats as well as small, medium, and large dogs. I also have experience administering oral medications when needed and am happy to care for puppies, kittens, senior pets, and those who may need a little extra patience or special attention. I know how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I'll care for them as if they were my own and will keep you updated with photos and messages so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. I speak English fluently and am learning Italian, so I'm happy to communicate in either language. I look forward to meeting you and your furry family members!

I currently offer dog walking, drop-in visits, and overnights in your home, where your pet can stay comfortable in their familiar environment and routine. In addition to caring for your pets, I will respect your home by keeping it clean and safe during overnight bookings. During each visit, I'll make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, affection, and care based on their individual needs. Whether that means a long walk, playtime, feeding, fresh water, administering oral/topical medication (if needed), or simply keeping them company, I'm happy to follow your instructions so their routine stays as consistent as possible. I'll also keep you updated with photos and messages after each visit, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away.

I have known Christie our entire lives and one thing I can say about her is that she loves animals! From the smallest of hamsters to huge horses...she has experience with them all. She is very nurturing, fun, energetic, personable, responsible and being a people-pleaser means she is even more dependable than most. I would highly recommend Christie for the care of pets!

Christie is an excellent and responsible pet caregiver. She has taken care of my pets, Percy and Dima when I was out of town and always took care to keep me updated. She is kind and attentive, and let me know if she had any concerns while I was away. I highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to take care of your precious furbabies!

Schedule
I'm currently living in Rome while studying Italian, so I have a flexible schedule and am available for morning, afternoon, and evening visits most days. The only time I'm regularly unavailable is Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., when I'm in class. Otherwise, I'm happy to work with your schedule whenever possible!
