If your dog has any specific schedule, supplements, medicines, etc. I'd ask this be communicated in advance. I work hard to keep dogs on their schedules for their parents. If you would like pictures of your dog sent or updates while you are gone, please let me know. I'm happy to send updates. I also would love to know if you don't want updates because I've had some dog parents who have said daily updates make them sad and miss their dog instead of enjoying vacation. If your dog struggles with being sad and might not eat like normal, let me know if there is anything I can do to help. For instance, I had a dog that needed me to sit on the floor by him for the first couple of times eating to help him feel comfy. By the second evening of staying with me, he didn't need me sitting with him anymore and he did great eating again. I want you to feel at rest that your fur baby is taken care of. :)

This depends on what the dog's parents let me know the dog likes and can do. It can also depend on the weather. (walks and outdoor play would be less time if it's raining, but more indoor play time to balance out.) If the dog needs lots of playtime and a walk, we can plan on both. We can play in the backyard - running around, playing catch, etc. We can go on a walk through the neighborhood. We can play inside. I have a very open concept between my kitchen, living room, and dining room, so throwing soft toys across all three and letting your pup stretch his legs is easy. I try to have at least a morning & afternoon playtime with the dogs I watch. It's a nice break for me from work too. If the dog has a lot of energy, we can add a third play time to run out some energy.
