Christian took care of my 2 girls for the last week and I was totally pleased with him. He took pictures and sent them to me and responded every time I asked how they were. I will definitely be using Rover and Christian again.

I hate to leave bad reviews but this guy left me in a bind and I think this one is merited. He accepted an offer to watch the dogs and I paid the amount due, then he switched the times to extend it by four days because he seemed to have mixed me up with a different appointment, fair enough- could happen to anyone. So I call him to get it straightened out and he starts trying to change the price after I had already paid (in fairness it was my first time using the app and he and I hadn't discussed drop off and pickup times before I paid and the additional charge would have been justified since I was picking the dogs up more than 48 hours after dropping them off). After explaining I had already paid he said that was fine and we could discuss the additional payment when I dropped the dogs off (and here I should have just cancelled the whole thing already so bad move on my part) so I say that's fine and I calculate out the hourly rate and bring cash to give him for the additional time. The day before he is supposed to watch the dogs I request an earlier drop off time, it's last minute so I would completely understand if he'd said he couldn't accommodate and fully expected that, but instead he said that would be just fine and we have our new drop off time. 35 minutes before I am supposed to drop the dogs off he texts requesting to push the drop off time back half an hour. I'm already in the car at this point heading to his house, so I call and say that I need to drop the animals off as soon as possible but since I have absolutely no other option I say that I will be at his house waiting for him when he gets there- he says okay and that he should be there in 25 minutes. And that's the last I hear from him. No follow up to say he got hung up, wouldn't answer my calls at 30, 45, an hour and a half late. He just stopped responding and I was left with my dogs in my hand. Thankfully Rover jumped right on it and helped me find a new sitter within 45 minutes (who was amazing). But Christian will certainly never get a request from me again. I saw his other reviews and imagine he's great with dogs but he was in no way up to the task of properly scheduling an appointment and his correspondence was poor and consistently confused (though I do think I shoulder some blame requesting time changes, hence two stars instead of one).
