Pet care experience
Honestly, I haven’t had much experience working with dogs; At most, playing with the dogs at my friend’s house, but at my previous job which was at a car dealership, the owner had a dog named “Snooze” which he had me take him on walks for about 30 minutes per day. It wasn’t listed on the hiring ad as one of the duties of my job so it came as a bit of a shocker as I have never walked a dog before. Although it was my first time, I found it very relaxing and “destressing,” so to say, as it was different from what I usually did in the work day. Needless to say, I found it very enjoyable and wouldn’t mind doing it again someday as I have a bit more time on my hands. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

I feel like one of the best ways to care for the dog is giving the dog the freedom to enjoy the stroll with you I.e. Let the dog embrace the surroundings while going on walks, don’t rush the dog and what I mean by that is sometimes I see owners tug on their dogs leash while they’re sniffing around a certain area. I say, just let the dog enjoy the environment.

Usually, when walking a dog, I would assume if the dog has any conditions that could affect the pace the dog could walk at or certain areas that could trigger the dog to act in a different manner such as allergies and so.
A typical day
Usually, when I took the owner’s dog on walk, the thing I enjoyed the most was walking to different areas and seeing the dog just roaming around and exploring.

Availability
At the moment I do work full-time from Sunday-Thursday, but I get off at 5, so I have extra time on my hands. Wednesday’s I get off at 8 and Fridays & Saturday I’m off so I could use the additional time to do something productive as I know other people may have a busy schedule during my free time.
