At the age of 3, my family and I had adopted a Jack Russel Terrier mix puppy named. At 5, we adopted a German Shepherd puppy named Kobe. From the ages, 5 to 8 I would occasionally feed them and play with them. It wasn’t until I was about 10 when I took on more responsibility for them. I began to constantly feed, walk, play, bathe, groom, and pick up after them. I also have experience with topical and oral medicine because Kobe had skin issues and hip arthritis. They both passed away at the ages of 12, Marley in 2020 and Kobe in 2022. As of right now, I have 2 cats. They are both 5 and we had them since birth, so I have experience in handling kittens too. When I was about 11 and 12, my mom’s close friend had two chihuahuas that she would drop off at my house. I would walk, feed, play, and take care of them until she came to pick them up. From 2020 to 2022, I dog sat for a close family friend a couple times and my mom’s coworker once. 2 of them are Maltese mixes and 1 of them is a Red-nose Pit. The longest I dog sat for was 1 full week at the owner’s house (mom’s coworker). I had to feed, walk, play, bathe, groom, medicate, and pick up after them.
