Christian took amazing care of my little tribe - it was a really big relief when I came back and my little trio sat there looking at me like "oh look who decided to come back... well, look here dad we had a great time without you and how come you don't play with us as much as Chris did?" Christian was great from my first contact. Based on some of the geography given by Rover I could sort of surmise she most likely lived close by which was something I preferred. I feel better knowing the person staying over in my place is from my own neighborhood; both to support my own community and also to make sure the sitter feels comfortable in my area too. Chris reached out as soon as we coordinated together on Rover and even came over to meet my little animal family on her own time. Actually she came over twice; once when we were first sorting things out and then again the night before I left because I was catching a very early morning flight. This gave us an opportunity to lay out game plans and I tried to fill her in on all the wacky alarms and tech security [think Big Brother] around my place. Probably drove her nuts - since I ended up having to turn most of it off cause the alerts were driving me crazy as they were going off all the time. As a plus it told me right away my little crew was getting tons of TLC and attention. Thank you Chris for enduring my security setup for the week. From her visits I could see she bonds easily with both cats and dogs - while my gullible dog loves everyone and is an easy one to win over, it was more impressive to get my very shy but giant rescue cat to come out and play - a feat that took me almost a month when I first got rescued by him. Assessing her ease with my little group offered me an opportunity to go away on my medical trip without much worries and her passion with them is genuine. It makes the stress a whole lot less when you know your animal family is in good hands. Even though it might seem like a trivial thing something that really impressed me occurred when Chris reached out ahead of time to ask if it would be alright if her husband could fill in on those occasions when she might not be able to be on the scene because of her work responsibilities... Even though it was a really small thing to me, I have to say both Chris and John presented as a really nice young couple and I truly respected the fact Chris went out of her way to clear this with me ahead of time. Also, she made sure I had the opportunity to meet John personally. BTW he seems like a really nice young guy and equally responsible; kind of a low key and trustworthy type that has a kindness to him. This whole exchange told me my trio were safe since Chris looked at the responsibility from the perspective of making sure they had lots of going out relief; and to be thoughtful and respectful in asking to clear it with me first. This let me know she was empathetic in understanding how someone might feel about letting someone they don't really know in their house when they are not there; and the things you can do to make them feel safer. Don't see these sorts of qualities in many people today and it was a definite notch in the feel really good about Chris as my pet sitter category. When I came back, my place was fine and the little dastardly trio didn't even seem to miss me. That is exactly what I hoped would happen. Chris certainly went out of her way to do a great job and I have already recommended her to some of my friends in the neighborhood who are also animal lovers and need coverage when they travel. Was really fortunate to find Chris and John [Thank you Rover] to help me out during a really busy and stressed time in my life - and I positively plan to hire them again for my next trip coming up in the next few months. I can not say enough good things about Christian. She took such good care of our dogs while we were on vacation, and kept us updated so we were able to enjoy our time away without a care. We have always had a hard time finding someone to take care of our dogs because one of them has anxiety issues. From the minute she was introduced to my dogs Christian wasn't intimidated at all. She is bright, happy, and full of energy. She made us and our anxious dogs comfortable . I will be sure to call her every time we need someone to take care of our babies.
