I grew up having dogs in the house. At any one time, we had as many as 4 dogs. They ranged from a rescue yellow lab we had for 12 years, to a pure bred Maltese, to fostering a 10 year old beagle for 3 months. I'm able to bond with most any dog. The beagle we fostered wouldn't respond to anyone beside me and the woman we got her from said even she had problems getting her attention. I also occasionally watched my neighbor's bulldog in high school. He was an older dog who needed lots of medication so I had to be very attentive with him
