I am experienced with dogs of different breeds, personalities, and temperaments. I use positive LIMA (least intrusive, minimally aversive) based methods. I am a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI), a Stunt Dog Judge, an AKC Evaluator and a current professional APDT member. I am actively pursuing my national dog training certification. I have four dogs, and have titled or earned seventeen different certificates in a six month period with my Doberman, including 9 trick dog titles. In fact, Luna is one of only ten Dobermans worldwide to earn her Trick Dog Champion (TDCH) title. I work primarily from home, and am a registered nurse (RN). I actively compete with my dogs and I am instructing classes at a local dog training club. I believe the best resume is a well-behaved dog and I have three wagging endorsements who would love to meet you. Additionally, I am able to accommodate in-home dog boarding for dogs who do not get along with other dogs. My facility is equipped with management tools to be able to keep guest dogs separate from the resident dogs, if necessary for safety, while still allowing for daily enrichment and interaction. Guest dogs are not kenneled/crated all day. Guest and resident dog interaction is only permitted if safe to do so and if approved by the pet parents of the guest dogs. I supervise all interactions with between the resident and guest dogs; Guest dogs are never left unattended or unsupervised with resident dogs. I am happy to accommodate all reasonable requests in regards to maintaining household rules, play and daily activities, food/medication schedules, sleep and stay arrangements.
