Pet care experience
I am located in Olde Kensington/Fishtown area. I am ONLY accepting clients in my neighborhood within walking distance. I am a high school art teacher during the day/school year. Spending time with animals allows me to unwind after work. My summer vacation begins June 11th which will open up my schedule! I have experience in house sitting, boarding, dog sitting and dog walking. Back in college, I house sat and cared for faculty's dogs when they were on vacation. I am a very active person so I LOVE taking dogs and pups on walks or jogs, playing catch, and playing in the park! Your pup will receive LOTS of attention! I grew up taking care of my family's pets. I am also open to caring for cats, as I am a cat parent myself.

Christen boarded my dog, Benny, for a weekend and was great! Very communicative and sent a bunch of updates throughout the stay. I can tell Benny had a great time and would highly recommend her to anyone who's looking for a sitter!
Christen has been super caring and loving to my two dogs. I have a lab and a shih tsu. She makes sure their needs are tended to and always reliable. I would highly recommend her.

For boarding, I live in a large, bi-level apartment that has a back patio for extra potty breaks. I ask my client if their pup/cat has any special needs or medications. For other services, I make sure that I have all of my client's instructions in detail so that their pup is comfortable and well-cared for.

In order to make sure your pup is healthy, happy, and safe, is important for me to know if your dog has any special needs or accommodations such as medication or any other medical issues that may need attention during the visit. Your dog's behavior, feeding schedule, and leashing type are also helpful to know.
A typical day
First, I will ask the clients what type of activities the pet enjoys, as each pet is unique. For high-energy pups, I'll put on my running shoes and we'll go for a jog or play catch. For medium-energy pups, we'll take a pleasant stroll in the neighborhood and maybe play a puzzle game. A short walk and potty break with extra belly rubs for the senior or low-energy pups.

I can take walks or drop-ins after 3 pm during the school year. During the summer, my schedule is much more flexible! I am open to drop-ins and walks in my neighborhood.
