Pet care experience
Christen started taking care of her first dog, a Maltese named Hiro, when she was 16 years old. She took on the complete responsibility of owning a pet, and she kept track of Hiro's feeding, walking, and sleeping schedules, along with veterinary appointments, while balancing school and work. Bram has even greater experience with caring for dogs. He got his first dog, a Jack Russell Terrier named Ein, when he was 9 years old, and he cared for him until his passing in September of this year. Bram has significant experience caring for senior dogs, including medication administration. He also has grown up caring for multiple dogs, as their dog family expanded and others have asked him to watch their dogs from a young age. Christen has only recently moved to the Bay Area (just last year), and to help cope with her homesickness, Bram got her their first Miniature Schnauzer, Claus, who quickly became their whole world. Shortly after, they decided to add another Mini Schnauzer, Lavie, to their family. Ensuring that their pups are always loved and taken care of is their first priority.

I have known Christen for more than a decade now, and in both her time on Guam and in California, she has shown qualities of being a very responsible and loving pet caregiver. While having lived with her childhood pet, I recall many times when she would shower her sweet Hiro with gifts, love and attention. She would send many of her friends pictures of her and Hiro playing together and was always enthusiastic about her care for him. In times of trouble, whether it is the occasional change in poop appearance or a more serious case, she would not hesitate to bring her pet straight to the vet or inquire from friends who are vet techs about her pup's condition. As she moved to California to start her new life, she did not change the love that she had for animals. She continued to share the same care with her newly adopted pup Sir Claus and has proven time and time again how caring of a pet mother she is. She always makes sure her dogs' diets are properly planned, notes any time when there are even slight changes in her dogs' activities or poops and makes sacrifices to ensure that her dogs have a comfortable life. I highly recommend Christen to care for any pets you may have!
Christen is great. As having a dog of her own, she knows exactly how to love, care, and have the patience for a four legged friend. She takes the time to get to know the dog and love it as her own.

Our Claus and Lavie will keep your pup company throughout their stay. We also include our pups in ALL of our activities, so your pup will never feel left out or unloved! We do not have a yard, but our neighborhood is incredibly dog-friendly, and we go on lengthy walks several times a day to ensure that they get plenty of exercise and time outdoors.

Please let us know if your dog has any special accommodations ahead of time. We want to ensure that they are given the best care possible, and that we are able to meet all of their needs. If your pup has separation anxiety, please let us know as well - as this is very important to us, since Claus had separation anxiety until he turned one! We understand how hard this can be, and we will do our best to accommodate you and your pup.
A typical day
We love going to parks for long walks on weekends, especially along the waterfront. There are many beautiful parks and walk routes in our area, and we are also willing to drive to accommodate your dog’s needs. If they want a huge grassy field to play in, let us know, and we will make it happen!

Availability
Christen works full-time in healthcare and Bram in computer sales on weekdays. Our weekends are dedicated completely to our pups! We center our weekends on taking our pups out to explore or staying in to recharge, and we have lots of space for your baby to join us! Bram is also available on certain weekdays to watch your pups full-time. DAYCARE: Daycare includes 20-minute walks as often as your pup needs. Claus and Lavie are walked four times a day in our neighborhood (7am, 1pm, 5pm, and right before bed). Please let us know if these times fit well with your pup's schedule. BOARDING: All pups are allowed to sleep on our bed, next to Claus and Lavie! Please let us know if they require any special attention or care before bed. If they prefer to sleep alone or away from other dogs, please let us know as well, so we can make sure that they are comfortable - all dogs deserve a good night's rest.
