Hi I'm Christa Pilgrim and I'm 18 years old. Growing up I've always had animals around me and I grew to love and care for them. Animals have brought so much joy and happiness into my life and I love them for that. I currently have two cats and a dog but have had many animals through the years. My senior year of high school I took an internship class which gave me the opportunity to volunteer at the Tulare County Animal Shelter on Avenue 256. Being able to volunteer last year was such an amazing experience for me because not only did it teach me how to care for the animals but it also gave me a chance to give the animals love and attention.
