Pet care experience
I have cared for animals since my first Guinea pig at the age of 5. I started pet sitting at 14 and I am now a licensed emergency veterinary technician so I am well rounded with all types of pets, even the ones with special medical or behavioral needs. I have a female dog who is 12 years old, very friendly and loves to lounge around with her friends and go on long walks. I also have a 10 year old cat who is very use to dogs but unfortunately not fond of cats. I usually walk my dog 3x a day so if your dog were to ever stay with me they would get lots of exercise as long as they can tolerate it too!

We would highly recommend Christa and absolutely have her take care of lily again for us. Christa came by to meet lily and asked great questions even though I have a pretty extensive list prepared. Our times for drop off and pick up changed slightly and Christa was completely flexible. Lily is just about a year old and high energy and Christa took her for long walks and the bonus of playing with her sweet calm dog was really nice. Christa sent pics and messages so we knew lily was extremely well taken of. We are so pleased with how everything went as this was our first time using rover.
If I could, I would give more than 5 stars!! Teddy truly enjoyed his stay with Christa and her dog Allie. She updated me every day and sent pictures. He always looked super happy. When we picked him up he was super tired from all the playing and training she and her dog Allie did with him. I would definitely choose her again as I know he is in good hands, having a good time playing and being spoiled :)
Christa is great with animals! Her background in Veterinary Medicine gives her more knowledge about animals than the average person and it shows. She does not only know a lot but she also cares for them like they're her own. She's done a great job with my dog, Russy, and has taught him (and I) a few things about being a smarter dog (and dog owner!). I'd highly recommend her if you're looking for someone to handle your dog.
I have both a dog and a cat and Christa took amazing care of them both! I had a whole list of medications that Bubba need and Christa managed it all! Jam is also a very special cats who requires special attention. I would highly recommend her to others!

I have a fully fenced in back yard at my home and love to play fetch with the doggos out there if they enjoy it! I also have a handful of local parks I like to rotate through to walk the dogs at that are clean and safe! Your dog will also be treated as if they were my own while with me (aka allowed on all furniture, sleep with me at night, get treats to reward good behavior, play time inside & outside…) as long as those actions fit within your rules for your dog. When I stay at clients homes I also make sure to be respectful of their space and also ensure I am following your pets routines and rules as best I can. Another safety factor I can provide is that I have a lot of veterinary knowledge as well so if your pet has special needs or if any medical issues arise while they are in my care I will absolutely be in top of it!

I would like to know how they are with other dogs and any interactions that may make them uncomfortable in regards to meeting a new friend. I also have a cat so knowing if they have ever been around cats is helpful too! In addition, knowing if they are fully house trained, and if they are kennel trained or not when left alone, as well as any bad habits they may have (so I can better prepare the house!) and any training you would like me to keep up on. I also have no breed preferences, any dog that comes my way is a dog for me (:
A typical day
A typical day includes about 2-3 walks at various locations so that there are lots of good smells to sniff, lots of playtime in and outside, and a few good hours of relaxing and cuddling if they’re game for it! My dog is very use to being spoiled with love and attention on the weekends and this will definitely be applied to your pup as well. I also love enrichment toys if that is something your dog would enjoy as well as I love watching them solve little puzzles or work their way around a toy for some small treats!

Availability
I work full time at a veterinary hospital Mon-Thurs so I unfortunately am limited to weekends for the pets I watch. On the bright side, my weekends are dedicated solely to my (and your) pets! I am home all weekend and usually leave the house to either walk the pups or run errands which I also usually allow pups to join me for if they like the car.
