Hi there! I'm Chrissy, a freelance writer that lives in Toronto, ON. I have experiencing sitting on TrustedHouseSitters, and for friends and family. I'm most experienced with medium dogs but grew up with cats, too! I work from home so I have plenty of time to take your pooch on a long walk, or out for frequent potty breaks if needed. I live with my partner Johnny, and we have petsat together in the past. However, he does travel a lot for work so during those times when I'm alone, I especially love that quality time with animals. I can't imagine having a pet at home without letting them cuddle on the sofa or bed, so they're definitely allowed on the furniture. I do not have any pets right now, as my partner's travel schedule is a bit too hectic for us to make that long-term commitment. Feel free to reach out for more details or references.

Chrissy was super accommodating of a fairly long day of doggy day care for my dog with separation anxiety. She provided updates with how Windy was doing throughout the day, asked relevant questions about her care, and was flexible when my pick-up time was moved up by an hour. Very attentive and responsible, I’d book with her again!
Chrissy is fantastic! She was able to save me in a bind and come by last minute. we didn’t get the change to do a meet and greet first, but she came in blind, and it still went perfectly and the dogs loved her!
Chrissy took excellent care of our dog Roo! He can be quite nervous with new sitters but Chrissy made sure to spend extra time helping him settle and get comfortable in her space. Chrissy sent lots of updates and pictures throughout the day to let us know how Roo was doing. We would definitely recommend Chrissy to anyone looking for a dog sitter ?❤️?
Chrissy shows immense empathy with and compassion for the animals in her care. When I say she dug deep to care for my anxious dog, I really mean it. My nervous dog was extra-anxious on Chrissy's first day with him (nothing to be done about that, some days a rescue dog is just more heightened than others), and she worked so hard to figure out his vocal and behaviour cues, and kept me informed of how he was doing at every step. I was so overwhelmed by her patience with him and she has my utmost respect for the depth of her kindness towards him and understanding of his healing process <3

I live in an apartment above a restaurant, but have a fully fenced rooftop patio. At my home, I have a large living room, bedroom, and kitchen. I'd work in the living room on my laptop while your pet could freely roam. And of course, I would take plenty of cuddle breaks if they like attention! And if I stay at your place, similar idea. I'm well versed with pet sitting in other peoples homes (ask for my THS profile) so I am flexible and easy to suit your needs.

Please let me know if they are OK or not OK with: - Other dogs - Being in dog parks/off leash - pieces of meat as a treat, I eat steak sometimes but wouldn't feed any treats like that without prior permission Also, please advise me of any important notes re: eating and medication as well. I've mixed meds in dog food in the past and had to ensure they ate it. I've never administered injection medication, so if you require that I would need you to demonstrate the process for me first.
A typical day
I live walking distance to Trinity Bellwoods, so a nice long walk in that area is a favourite for.my.morning routine. If your dog is OK off leash, I would happily take them to play fetch and play with other dogs. I also adore watching movies with a pup or cat cuddled on my lap.

Availability
I work from home so I would always be present with your pet. As a freelancer, I pick my hours so I can accommodate strict potty schedules, medication and feeding times, etc.
