Dedicated Actor Who LOVES Dogs!

Pet care experience

Hello everyone! My name is Chris, I am in West Philly, originally from Virginia. I previously worked at a dog boutique on the Upper West Side of New York City. I grew up with dogs back in Virginia, so you can tell I LOVE dogs. I miss my dogs so much, so let me help you take care of your dogs. I can work out a schedule to visit the doggies during the day or overnight seven days a week, and I can work my schedule out to meet your needs! :) Contact me today, and we can set up a schedule so I can take care of your little one while you are away for the weekend, on vacation or just want a night out :) CATS: I cannot offer these services for cats, I’m really allergic. LGBTQ+ to the front of the line!

Chris is a very caring person and an excellent person to put in charge of your dog. He is the epitome of professionalism and I would recommend him to anyone to care for their dog!

Chris is such a good person. He is personable, polite and forgiving. I overslept this morning and he still walked Rocks. He is also a great and caring dog walker and Rocks really likes him.

Chris was a super dog sitter for our two dogs - he came over for a meet and greet at a moment’s notice, and was incredibly diligent from there on out. One of our dogs experienced way worse than anticipated separation anxiety that I am certain had Chris tearing his hair out, but he was a total champ and handled it with awesome communication. He gave the dogs everything they needed while we were away, and kept us in the loop enough that we could make sure everything went as smoothly as possible while still enjoying our vacation.

Chris was so communicative and easy-going, he took amazing care of my lil funny chunky cat over Thanksgiving. She has some food issues, he was so patient with her making sure she ate even though it took quite some time, and with a positive attitude. He also kept the house so tidy and neat! I would recommend him to anyone and hope to hire him again and again!!

Safety, trust & environment

My eyes on your animals is top priority, but it starts with you at home. Let's go over the safety plan together, making sure doors are locked and there are multiple steps to ensure the bubs are safe. I can work with crates, but I would highly prefer not to. If your dog shows "extreme enthusiasm" on walks, a harness is required over collar walking. I want your dog to feel safe, and I need to feel safe with them. Here are some boundaries I've set in place for optimal safety and trust: 1) At this time I no longer accept two or more dogs at a time. Single dog homes get priority. 2) Harness walking is highly preferred unless your dog shows calm walking behavior with me. 3) An emergency contact who is not traveling with you is required.

Information Chris W. would like to know about your pet

Here's my Meet and Greet Checklist to ensure a safe experience: 1. There should be a Meet and Greet :) This will be before the day of the booking, at least once. 2. I need to know how hard your dog pulls on a walk, especially when it's not you walking them. We may have different ideas of how safe it feels when walking a particularly pully dog. 3. How is your dog around other dogs? People? 4. How is their separation anxiety? Obviously there will be more questions but these are the important ones!

A typical day

Time I'll spend with your dog My schedule is very flexible, so I can spend as much time as you need me to spend with your dog! When staying overnight, I do have a part time job as well so I won't be 24/7 bound to the house. But, like a normal owner, I will stay there overnight and be there when I'm not at my job. We can discuss details as my hours change from time to time! Extra house-sitting services Yes, I can do other tasks.

My part time job is mostly nights or weekend afternoons, and it is VERY flexible. I have a SEPTA pass so I can get to and from your place very easily! I can stay at your house and will be there predominately when I'm not at my other job or at the gym (which we'll discuss). Preference goes to as close to Philly proper as possible (proximity to Market-Frankfort and Broad St. lines). Proximity to Regional Rail, PATCO, and trolleys will be considered as well.
