Pet care experience
You probably see your dog as a member of your family and, while I am caring for them, they will be a member of mine as well. I've been walking dogs in my neighborhood of Edgewood, along with surrounding neighborhoods, since 2018 and have come to know quite a number of neighborhood dogs (as well as their parents)! Although I don't have formal training in behavioral modification, I am very happy to reinforce any training that your pup is currently receiving and am familiar with the clicker approach.
Reviews
Chris is really awesome! 10/10 would recommend. And he always sends fun pictures and updates so I know how my little guy's walk was!
Chris was great! He took excellent care of our boys and was very communicative.
Chris is fantastic! He has been a consistent walker for us and even comes last minute at time’s when we ask.
Chris was a helpful and attentive walker.

When I am taking care of a dog at a client's home, I usually ask the owner for recommendations of areas in which they like to take their pup on walks and if there is a specific route that they take when they are out on their regular walk schedule.

Information Chris S. would like to know about your pet
I have worked with dogs that have leash aggression or are reluctant walkers but it is useful to know whether your pup displays either of these behaviors. With leash aggressive dogs, I have found that they can often do quite well as part of a small walking pack if they are introduced slowly and rewarded for good behavior.
A typical day
My typical day involves walking a regular cohort of dogs in my and surrounding neighborhoods. This is typically between 11 AM and 3 PM. If I am dog sitting, I try to follow the walking/playing/couch hanging schedule that the dog is used to with their owners.

Availability
I am available as a mid-day to late afternoon weekday dog walker in Bloomingdale, Edgewood, Ledroit Park and Truxton Circle and can do pet sitting throughout DC and the MD and VA suburbs. For dog walking, my preference is to take on clients who need a regular walker for their dog but I am also open to arrangements that are either short term or more sporadic if it aligns with my schedule.
