Pet care experience
Thinks for thanking of me! 👋 My name is Chris - I'm a lifelong tech industry worker that's currently learning to become a software engineer. Thankfully while I learn to code and work on projects, my schedule is pretty flexible which means I can care for your pet in whichever way is needed. I've been a pet owner since I was a kid, but most recently owning a large Dog™ brand dog (aka she's a mix of who knows what) for the past few years.
Reviews
Our girls are in great hands with Chris. His daily visits help break up the day and keep them engaged and happy!
Great job. Always on time. Chris spent time with my dogs and they got a couple of walks every day. I would highly recommend.
Chris was absolutely amazing. He took great care of my doodle and my home while we were away on vacation. Great communication, very accommodating. I wish I could rate him higher than 5 stars.

In all cases, instructions are key - as someone who has cared for other pets and has asked people to sit for Ellie, I know this is THE MOST IMPORTANT PART. If you do not give me thorough instructions, please do not be offended if I pepper you with a barrage of follow ups: I want to make sure all the bases are covered and I can recreate your pets routine as closely as possible! With me, the name of the game is consistency for your pet - they should feel no difference between when you're at home vs. when they are with me.
Information Chris R. would like to know about your pet
Hopefully you've been through this song and dance before, but I'll need the basics (walk/potty schedule, feeding schedule, crating, etc.) and any particulars (medication, dos/don'ts around other animals/people, where they are/aren't allowed, etc). In general, I just want to recreate your pet's normal routine as much as possible and get a sense of any guardrails around "special" treatment a la treats/outdoor time.
A typical day
I try to do at least one long walk a day (aside from any requisite potty breaks), but aside from that I try to make sure the dog has ample play time. If your dog is good with dog parks, I'll bring them there as well!

Availability
I do project-based work, so my hours are my own. Because of this I've got plenty of time to focus on your pet. My schedule will always be up to date if there are any conflicts, but generally I can work around your schedule.
