I love dogs. They are wonderful. It takes patience, strength, stamina, and of course, selflessness to care for dogs. Any time spent with my dog is well spent. I have been around dogs my whole life, understand they are all different, and am alert to their communication- if you’re paying attention. I am firm, kind, and focused when around dogs. They understand and expect a hierarchical environment. I have cared for dogs varied in age from puppyhood to seniors. I have a special place in my heart for special needs, deformed, cast away, etc.... With pet sitting, it is a fluid environment, where I humbly attempt to maintain the “Alpha” spot. So far so good. I have a Canaan and a Greyhound. Both have different needs so I am adept at this occupation. More importantly, I enjoy it. That translates to you coming home to a dog that isn’t stressed.
