Wasatch Hollow Vacation Sitting!
Pet care experience
We miss our dog terribly, and would love to shower your best friend with attention while you're away. I'm a former search and rescue dog trainer, and have enjoyed the company of high-energy working breeds and rescues for most of my life. In our last dog's final years, we joined the Delta Society and visited nursing homes. This summer I'll be working from home, and would enjoy having company during the day. Our daughter is also looking forward to having a dog in the house, and your friend will enjoy our companionship, daily walks, access to a small yard, and (with your approval) romps in the local dog park and the possibility of off-leash hikes. We'll be available for daytime dog walking too!

Another wonderful stress free stay. I cannot say enough. I love that Justin and I can leave our big doggy Kuma in such a capable, caring environment as this! We pick up a dog that is well adjusted and stress free as well! Thanks so much for our peace of mind!!!
Chris and family are just simply the best to watch our Kuma. We picked Kuma up yesterday and he was a little sad to leave...we cannot say enough great things about our experiences. Kuma is truly happy and adjusts quickly when we have to leave him for a couple of days. I know he is treated well and is getting attention, love, and play!
Chris and his family were great with our dog. Our dog especially enjoyed playing with the daughter. She was so cute with the her. We had updates with pictures often and felt like our dog was well cared for, content, safe and entertained while we were away. We are so grateful.
Porter had a great time staying with Chris and his family. He received lots of attention and had a great time. Thanks for taking such great care of Porter while we were away. We had a great get away knowing that he was in good hands and having a fun time. We loved receiving all the photos!

Information Chris F. would like to know about your pet
We're happy to take in medium to large dogs that are active, crave exercise, and need engaging activities. Small dogs welcome too, but we don't mind the big boys. Puppies are welcome--we can work on basic obedience training and socialization. I'm a believer in crate training--let's discuss what your approach has been. We're also sympathetic to the old dogs who mostly need company, a quiet walk, and a comfortable place to rest their bones. Bring his favorite dog bed and we'll find a place for it where he can be with us during the day and night. We plan on hosting only one guest at a time so your dog will have our undivided attention. BUT if your dog has a buddy that also needs a place to stay, let us know and we can do that.
A typical day
All guests will stay in our home throughout their stay. In the heat, we've been getting a good walk every other day, with plenty of time for romping or lounging in our yard mornings and evenings. Wasatch Hollow Park is just down the street and has an active doggie play group for well-socialized canines, and there's a nearby fenced dog park that we get to occasionally. During the day and in the evening, your pet will have free roam of the house to nap or to follow me and my daughter around. We can place bedding where your dog will be most comfortable (usually my daughter's room). If we have to leave the house during your pet's stay, we'll leave him in our large kitchen where he'll have room to stretch but will be safe. Before your pet's stay, let's plan a meet and greet so everybody can get to know eachother and you can show off your dog's tricks and training. If you want visits to the dog park or off-leash time, we'll need to meet first at Wasatch Hollow where you can show us how your dog handles without a leash!
