Fun, Loving Home-Away-From-Home!
Pet care experience
Having grown up with one beagle and three bichons, I have loved and cared for dogs since childhood. I currently live in a stand-alone house with a spacious deck that is the perfect spot for pups to catch some much-needed sun in the autumn months. My neighborhood is quiet and low-key, which makes it an easy place for dogs to settle in. While I don't have my own yard, there is plenty of nice green space within walking distance, and your pup will get all of the playtime and exercise he or she needs! Whether it's playing fetch, wrestling, walking, or just sitting somewhere comfy for a long petting session, I will give your pup all of the love and attention he or she needs! Even though I care for my sister's three dogs once every few weeks, life just isn't as full without the love, fun, and energy that only a dog can provide! I know that every dog has different needs when it comes to exercise, attention, and discipline, and I will make sure that your pup gets exactly what he or she needs.
Reviews
Best doggie sitter ever. Chris watched my dog for me when I would leave town for work and he was always so kind to Duncan! He even let him sleep in the bed with him, which I know Duncan loved. :) Don't hesitate to use Chris, you won't regret it.
Chris was more than happy to watch my dog on Thanksgiving. He was super attentive and my dog seemed to have a great time. Will definitely have my dog stay with Chris again!
I was disappointed with my dog boarding experience with Chris. I had high hopes given many of his positive reviews but my experience was not similar to others. His inability to meet me at agreed upon times and his neglect to give my dog his necessary heart medicine despite specific instructions was unexpected and very distressing. Any dog owner would expect a Rover host to provide attentive care and take looking after their dog as a serious responsibility. Unfortunately, that was not my experience.
We were nervous about leaving Bella in a kennel again. We had left her once before and she came back with illness and injuries and having been fed food she was allergic to. I decided to try Rover and read a lot of profiles and Chris sounded like a great match. We had a chance to do a meet-up before Bella's stay of 8 days. Chris asked for a written list of every/anything he might need to know. He sent fantastic photos to us during her stay. She got lots of walks and looked in even better shape when we picked her up than when we dropped her off. Chris was very easy going and personable and my pup liked him right away. Didn't even bark at him which is quite unusual! We definitely hope to use Chris again whenever we need Bella taken care of.

Information Chris C. would like to know about your pet
Before sitting a dog, I would like to know about his/her specific needs, so I can be sure to give him/her the full and proper care that he/he needs. Knowing about any fears (ex. thunder), causes of anxiety (ex. being left alone), or dislikes (ex. people wearing hats or sunglasses/obscuring their eyes) are certainly helpful. I would also like to know about the dog's preferred activities (Does he/she like going for walks, or playing fetch?), his/her socialization (How is he/she around other dogs? Should I keep him/her on-leash in parks?). The owner's current behavioral/training practices are also important, as I do not want to be inconsistent and confuse the dog or stunt his/her progress.
A typical day
I know the importance of letting pups stretch their legs at least four times a day, and will listen to your dog's cues about when he/she wants to go out and exercise, and when he/she wants to just chill in the house.
