Aloha! Professional with years of experience caring for mostly dogs but also cats, bunnies, birds, and fish/aquatic animals since I pretty much grew up in a zoo. Also good with house plants, even the fussy ones as I have them myself. Volunteer with several shelters and fostered heaps. Will send photos/vids catching all those precious moments. Chris just puppysat our wild puppy for 10 nights and did an incredible job! We were looking for an experienced dogsitter over the holidays last minute, and finding Chris was truly a blessing (and I'm very picky). I'm the kind of person who loves constant updates, photos, and videos, and Chris was an excellent communicator. I am paranoid whenever I'm away from either of my dogs, but I felt worry-free with the constant updates; I knew our puppy was in good hands. Also, our puppy is very high energy and still learning his manners in public, as well as having trouble with potty training, but Chris handled him with ease. She brought him to the dog park daily (sometimes even in the early morning to avoid rain) so he had lots of exercise. Chris is very knowledgable about dog behavior and training, as well as how to care for brachycephalic breeds, so we felt really safe having her watch our frenchie. We'll definitely use her again as a dogsitter for either of our dogs! Thank you so much Chris!
I was looking for somebody who would not only care for my pet, but stay at my house with him overnight. I wanted to do a Meet & Greet first, to see if my dog and myself connected with our potential sitter. I reached out to a few Rover Pet Sitters in my area. Chris responded immediately and came over for a Meet and Greet the same day, This showed me how responsible and committed she was to being a good care giver and in giving me peace of mind. I reached out to a few other Rover sitters in my area, all who flaked out when trying to do a Meet and Greet. They had what may have been legitimate reasons (not feeling well, migraine, etc.) but it made me question how responsible they might be. What if I hired them and the weekend they were supposed to watch my dog, they came up with these same excuses? I did not have this experience with Chris. She gave me complete peace of mind by doing what she said she was going to do. Calling me back and showing up as planned. During the Meet and Greet we had a great conversation and she immediately gave her attention to my dog, Hunter. They connected well and I knew after spending a short time with Chris, that she was trustworthy and responsible. I know she would take good care of my dog and fulfill any commitment that she made to my dog and myself. Her prices were a little higher than some, but she was complete proof that you get what you pay for, by showing up when she was supposed to and by making our Meet and Greet a priority. I would not hesitate to hire her and will definitely use her services. Just like most parents will pay for quality, trustworthy care for their children, I feel the same way with my dog's care. Chris will be my first choice in the care of my pet.
Wow Chris did an incredible job looking after our two pups over the long weekend. She checked in regularly and sent tons of videos and photos to help us feel more at ease. A tremendous experience. We'll 100% work with Chris again.
We are very happy with Chris's service and care towards our two fur babies. Chris is confident and knowledgeable on how to handle anxious dogs. She went above and beyond to ensure that my dogs are comfortable, well-fed, and entertained during her drop-in visits. She followed all our instructions on how to take care of our dogs while we are on vacation. She also showed care and compassion towards our elder family member. We feel comfortable when she arrive because we know that she will provide good care for our fur babies. We strongly recommend Chris to any dog owner on Rover.
