Pet care experience
I have been caring for dogs, cats, birds, horses, and other animals since I was a small child. I grew up on a farm, at one point caring for over 100 various farm animals while I was in middle school. I am currently in school for veterinary technology, and have three dogs, one horse, and a one-winged cockatiel! I love being active outdoors with pets, including hiking and swimming. I have access to plenty of toys, balls, healthy treats, and more! I currently works as a vet tech in a small animal clinic. I love all kinds of animals and am comfortable taking care of your more special needs pets.

I always ensure that your pet has everything they need to make them more comfortable while you are away. I am very communicative, and will always let you know if your pet is acting out of their norm. I have a basic understanding of animal behavior, which allows me to make sure your pet is comfortable with me as well. Your pet's health and safety is my priority!

Before sitting a dog, the most important thing to know is if they have any special needs (dietary restrictions, exercise restrictions, or quirky behaviors). I also like to know how they walk on a leash, especially in public if they encounter people, children, or other dogs. If they have any favorite toys or treats, and (if applicable) how they travel in a car. I have no breed preferences and will accept any breed of dog!
A typical day
We can walk around the neighborhood or head out to one of the many state parks that I hike with my dog. If you have an only pet, my dog loves to play and is great with all other dogs! In the warmer weather, we like to swim in the local creeks (guaranteed to not have dangerous algae). Or, if you prefer, we can stay at home and play with many toys!

Availability
I have a consistent work schedule, with Wednesdays and Sundays off, and every other Saturday off. I am available for after work care, or weekend pet sitting.
