Active, dog loving student

Pet care experience

I’ve cared for dogs my whole life from playing to training to making sure all needs were met. I love dogs, walking, and being outside so I’d love to be able to enjoy all those alongside your pup!I have experience with breeds like English bulldog, pugs, pit bulls, schnauzers, labs, and German Shepards so there’s really no limit to what breeds I can handle given they’re smaller than I am!

Chloe is an amazing young woman with a passion and love for all animals. Her gentle and kind demeanor help calm the most anxious animals. She loves to play with our dogs and enjoys taking them for walks and for outings. She is also very responsible and trustworthy, you never have to worry about your pets or your home while she is petsitting.

Chloe is great with dogs! My border collie and german shepards love her and always bring her gifts (toys to throw) when she arrives. She is very patient with them and will play with them for hours to meet their high exercise needs. She’s awesome with dogs and someone you can absolutely trust to care for them.

Not only does Chloe love and enjoy dogs, she takes caring for them, connecting with them, and setting and maintaining boundaries to promote her safety and theirs (both physical and psychological) very seriously. She is willing, reliable, and eager to learn and help.

Chloe has been a phenomenal pet sitter throughout the time I have known her! While caring for my young bulldog puppy, she was patient, kind, and very responsible. She took my puppy on walks and helped with training when I struggled with getting my dog to do training with me. My dog is like my baby and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to care for her. I cannot recommend Chloe highly enough!

Safety, trust & environment

I don’t offer services inside my own home but I run frequently and have taken my family member’s more active pets with me many times and enjoy that. I also have a membership to the local off-leash dog park where any pups I was watching could play freely and safely. My own dog would not be around on walks or drop in visit care.

Information Chloe K. would like to know about your pet

I’d want to arrange a meet up so I can get a sense of how they react to me outside of a home before meeting them inside. I’d also like to know the basics of any walking training they may have, their exercise requirements (distance and speed) as well the gear (harness, collars, leashes) they are familiar with so I can be best prepare to walk them. If I’m caring for them in your home, I’d like to know where they have free access (indoor and outdoor), how much or what type of food or treats they typically get, a sense of how often they need potty breaks, and where they sleep. I have very little breed preference since I have experience with many, however I am much more comfortable working with small or medium dogs rather than large ones if there’s behavior issues such as biting, jumping, or inappropriate urination/defecation. I’m very familiar with breeds like bulldogs, pugs, boxers or others like them with short snouts and their specific care needs.

A typical day

I typically walk my dog on CMU’s campus or Chippewaters Park/Viets woods area. If a dog is up for it, I’ve also got experience running with larger dogs for anywhere from 1-3 miles. Beyond that, I also am a member at Hannah’s Bark park where I could potentially take a dog if they meet all medical and behavioral requirements to play off leash or with other dogs.

Availability

I’m currently working part time Monday’s and Tuesday’s so I won’t be available those days, however, barring any strange circumstances I am free all other days. I’ll start school and continue working let time again in mid-August. My schedule will be much tighter then during the week but my weekends will be mostly free.
